  1. We're making progress! I've taken Bomdrop out & the song now runs, so I'm trying to put a replacement sound in. but none of my software instruments show in the flip menu.
  2. Ah, but I've got no audio. When I try to select my audio output I get the attached message. I click Continue & it crashes again.
  3. Hey, that worked! Thanks. What causes that?
  4. I also get this (scanning Audio Units) come up whilst logic is opening, but it always gets through this stage & doesn't crash
  5. Another song quits at the 'Calibrating Audio' stage if opening Logic, but if Logic is already open, it crashes without showing signs of opening anything on the video screen capture.
  6. Hi, Please help. I am using Logic pro 10.7.3 on Monterey 12.2.1. Whenever I try to open a song I haven't opened in the last 12 months, maybe, Logic crashes upon opening (or not. as is the case ) I'm not Mr Technical, but here's info that may help; Project is on external drive, which works fine with most projects. Last time this happened, I watched the loading plug-ins & noticed the crash happened whilst Serum was trying to load. I updated it & this solved the problem. So this time, I did a screen capture and the point at which Logic crashes is trying to open Ultrabeat, which is part of Logic & not a separate entity? Attached is the crash report first page, which doesn't tell me anything, though I'm not sure how to read it, I'm just looking for clues. I have also dispensed with my iLok, which I couldn't locate since moving house. Thanks for reading!
  7. Hey, thanks both, good to hear from you again David. Yes, busy, so I want to do a live vocal over some of my tracks for a live gig or two. The original masters are lost, so if I can phase/eq the vox out & do them live, without it sounding just 'plopped over the top', then job's a good 'un.
  8. Hi, what do Logic users use to strip the vocals from a track? I heard Moises was good but it's not available for Macbooks. Thanking you.
  9. This is really poor. Every time I try to trim a piece of audio by dragging in from the left corner, Logic crashes. I've recently updated the OSX to Mojave and hadn't experienced this problem before. Anyone have any info on this? Cheers, Crabbi.
  10. Hi, thanks, I have AKG's too, (K712's) but I can't stay with headphones on for hours at a time.
  11. Hi, Any tips on small, fairly flat response monitors to use via a Macbook? I say 'fairly' as being compact and connecting via the headphone output they won't be ideal & I won't ultimately be doing final mixes off my laptop but would appreciate advice on the best speakers for monitoring-as-you-go. Cheers.
  12. Been waiting for this new arrival, but has anyone tested the new 2018 MacBook Pro with Logic? Although the spec sounds great on paper, I have read of problems already, concerning thermal issues which are 'throttling' CPU performance. https://www.kitguru.net/lifestyle/mobile/apple/damien-cox/apples-latest-2700-macbook-pro-is-reportedly-throttling-performance-due-to-thermal-issues/
  13. Just so I can switch from phones, (giving me full lush stereo effect), to mono which gets heard in all kinds of compromised situations (tv, small radio, pub/club etc).
