  1. No issues here with NI Machine and Multi Outs. Check on a couple of instances in one song. Song has been around since logic 9.. Almost finished Novation Automap seems to be broken though.. Bounce "include audio tail citing tail short also. Much fixed yay!! OS X 10.11.6 Beta (15G12a)
  2. Hopefully it's going to be really quiet, current Mac Pro is noticeable in Condenser Mic recordings even when in a soundproofed cupboard.. And lights for the ports with rotating system, no more torch in mouth when plugging in studio while practicing contortionism to get to back of Mac Pro, yay! Bet a new version of Logic would run rather nicely on it too!!
  3. If you have the same plugs you could try saving a preset in FL then loading it in Logic..
  4. Mountain Lion? Have come across a similar problem trying to save a clients Ableton files to their own folder on an external drive. Can you Save As.. to your desktop?
  5. Cool thanks Have been meaning to get around to that for a while!! Workes great for Main Outs (as specified in Monitor Main in TotalMix which took a few minutes to see..) with a Logic Midi fader. Next to program a midi controller to control the whole mixer, will use my Novation Remote SL as I can setup different midi channels per controller easily in the remote SL editor so can get the whole mixer on one page. Cheers Spanda
  6. My method.. I'm using a Novation Remote SL0II in Template mode Set up midi controller to send CC#7 on midi channels 1-16 In Logic go to Controller Assignments and set up a New Zone. Mine is called RemoteSL to Ti Midi. This should keep the setup isolated between Controller and Ti Use Logic's Learn to map channels 1-16 in Virus Control with your mapped CC#7 1-16 midi controls, this will over ride midi to Logic volume slider Done... Guess you could just make another template for pan if needed...

  8. Can't stand using 64bit logic with the 32bit bridge the way it is. Crashes all the time and plugin view dissapraring when bridge is in background. Rather use awesome automap and save presets in 32 bit mode and only get the missing message from Old projects now.. Rescan in 64 bit mode only scans a small percentage of automated plugs for me.
  9. Waves 8 plugs have built in automap. Unwrap everything in Automap Remove the following file from your User Library to trigger AU rescan : User/Library/Caches/com.apple.audiounits.cache Use Automap setup to rewrap plugs. You will notice Waves plugs do not get checked. Open Logic. You will go through the scan process and Waves plugs will scan only as normal, not with (Automap). Some may not follow properly so you'll have to choose them manually. Guess they will put the effort into Waves 9 now? Cheers Spanda
  10. Yes all sorts of crazy!!! If I try to stretch a region of a audio file Logic hangs. If I make a new file from selection and Logic doesn't hang but dragging region shorter sometimes makes it 10 times as long... If I use Flex mode instead of the audio engine for the track then stretching works fine.. But that may not work for all time stretch needs?? Cheers Hugo
  11. Thanks all very helpful thought process!! For me similar issues except all bounces were out of time!! BIP and realtime Bounce. I've noticed over the years this happened sometimes and now understand Logic Delay Compensation can only handle so much going on before bounce goes out of time.. I would find my Access Virus TI (as Virus Control) would sometimes bounce randomly out of time, say within 1000 samples early to late. This seemed to be happening again in 9.1.5 Lion.. I have just turned off basically everything else except the one instrument I need to bounce and the Virus is back on time. Interestingly even with an Empty Project if I bounce audio, invert polarity of audio, play together with software synth (Using NI Massive) it does not cancel. If playing looped the first real part of the loop has some cancelation but the looped parts don't cancel at all. If I bounce another copy of the audio I can get the bounces to cancel. So Massive must always be playing slightly out of time!! Always wondered why everything sounds tighter once bounced to audio... Thanks again for the above thought processes, long work arounds but by super complex songs will be in time now!! Cheers Hugo
  12. Same problem different issue here.. Seems to be a file sharing loop here as I had a duplicate of my computer in devices show up in shared with file sharing on. Turned off file sharing and rebooted airport and modem and all is well. PLAY is not installed on my system.
  13. Would love to see results from as many users as possible with as many different setups as possible to prove whether Logic is the reason that almost nothing in my logic is actually SAMPLE accurate... From my testing most instruments in logic are not sample accurate. ESX24 is spot on always, I figure this is because it has its own ram allocation? Others I have tested float from 1 or 2 samples to 1 or 2 hundred samples... Bounce something and check it. Bounce say 10 bars or the squarest most simple wave you can get from ultrabeat repeated on the beat and look at it in the sample editor, look at the beat points and weep 8-(. Even more interesting bounce it again, invert one and you get nothing.... This means the bounce is out exactly the same amount each time! Perhaps needing to buffer ram as not having its own ram pre allocation like ESX? Same result for any AU I have tried yet, same result in Logic Pro 7 and 8, tiger, leopard, G5, intel....Many friends the same too (Ableton 6 seemed was better in most cases but still to my ears doesn't sound as good and have not been able to try other apps) . I also just tried bouncing a kick line in ultrabeat just now after reading the above post, inverted and matched volumes at -8.6dB with output metre and achieved quite an audible result of -10dB. Not good especially for a (otherwise great) percussion instrument. Above said, Logic is awesome to write with and sounds great, better in version 8 along with many other great improvements. Would be nice if it lived up to its claims though... Very much looking forward to other opinions and test results on this and hopefully a fix buy say 9.03??? Thanks Apple... Happy creating Hugo Oh and for the record... dual 2.0 G5 1.5gb ram Logic 7 and 8 running 10.4.10, macbook pro 17' 2.4 4gb ram 10.5.1. RME fireface 800 + Mytek stereo DAC, Novation KS Rack, Remote le 61 and SL 37, Unitor 8, Virus Ti on USB, Nord lead 2, SH101,Waldorf microwave II, ADAM S2.5A Monitors, outboard stuff. Waves, native instruments. Tests carried out with full set up and macbook pro with logic 8 only (nothing plugged in and no plugs installed)
