  1. Can anyone tell me if there is a command for enabling record on all tracks or a selection of tracks within an arrangement? I'm familiar with the 'click on R' button or the Ctrl+R key command, but I want to enable multiple MIDI tracks in my arrangement without having to mouse click all over the place. Is it possible? Many thanks, Andrew
  2. A huge thank you for your replies. It turns out that OnStage really does exactly the job I was looking for. I've already bought it and created a Touch OSC screen on my iphone to run my entire set list. I've also incorporated some transport controls so I can control the basic Logic operations I need from my iphone touch screen rather than using a mouse or other MIDI controller. I do have another question which I should probably post as a new thread but one of you might know... Is there a way to arm all tracks using just key commands or do I actually have to click on each track to enable it? Thanks again, Andrew
  3. I've been going through my key commands recently and discovered these 'select project' commands in Logic 8. Does anyone know how they work? I've assigned keys to the commands, but I don't know how Logic knows which project is what number. Is this something I assign? Using the keys I assigned to these commands Logic doesn't seem to do anything and I can't find any information about this commands online or in the manual. Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks, Andrew
  4. I've followed the instructions from David, but I'm having a strange problem with MIDI notes not stopping. I'm using an Novation Remote SL61. I have multiple zones set up using different keyboard ranged to send to different midi channels. Within Logic my tracks are armed and set to receive on the corresponding channels. When I play in zone 1 everything works fine. When I move to zone 2 each note I play is sustained. Its like the MIDI note off message is not being received, but I can see from the transport display that the off message is being received. If I disarm the track that relates to zone 1 (channel 1), then the notes I play in zone 2 (channel 2) work fine. I have no idea of the problem is within Logic or with my setting in the SL. If David or anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful for your help. Cheers, Andrew
  5. I couldn't see him on the list but Thomas Dolby is a quite vocal user of Logic Pro 7. His blog makes mention of Logic and his 'Sole Inhabitant' DVD released last year also includes a tour of his rig and a demonstration of how he uses Logic as well as some other bespoke MAX application to manage Midi, etc. Check out his blog and forums at: http://www.thomasdolby.com I'm also a huge fan of Roger O'Donnell (ex Cure keyboard player) and his latest work has all been completed using Logic, a Moog Voyager and not much else. He has presented shows at Apple stores. Take a look at http://www.rogerodonnell.com/studio.html Cheers, Andrew
