exactly !! i wasnt so sure wether it was resources here... dual 2 gig, 3 gig ram, radeon 9600, 2xuad1, 1 xpoco... i think this has to be sorted.... also if it was resource based then it would happen in SX3 with a similar setup....but it doesnt? so for me it must be the Logic graphic engine....maybe its something they will look at in future updates? Mo

ok so we all know latency is an accepted part of modern day production ... so when i put a few UAD and Powercore plugs or even some third part native ones in my chain i expect Plugin Dealy compensation to have to do its job and delay the whole system to compensate and keep everything in check....BUT... you would have thought that apple could have written the graphics engine to delay aswell.... by the time we are at the end of a project these days the entire thing is out of sync so we cant even tell where we are on a track it plays back fine and sounds great but the graphics are so far out with waht we are hearing its crazy and none of our 8 dsp's are overloading by any means !? we are using fast fire wire and only 2 channels at 24bit 44.1 khz....i really cant understand why this happens? i also have sx3 which i only teach on now but.... i went back and made up aproject with loads of dsp driven plugs and 3rd party plugs and although it used its delay compensation the graphics were perfectly in time with what the audio was doing! is there something i can do? or is it something im doing or is it something apple is doing !? ) comments??? cheers... Hi all... ive noticed when my processor use gets up high my whole interface in Logic (i.e. meter redraw etc) slows right down i thought this was just due the high demand on the mac....but when i hold down a mouse button on a fader or similar it speeds right up to normal and becomes very responsive??! the cpu usage doesnt change either.... can anyone repeat this on their setup and has anyone found a solution for it? cheers Mo

sorry for the late reply ive been away...not even sure if your still watchin this ...but the korg has no 'PLay' mode only native and non native tried both neither works?? im still confused...?

thats the conclusion i have come to but after playing with the channel settings in logics controller setup i got it to work for 5 mins once but havnt been able to repleat this..... and have everything on the nord switched to recieve?! (only a few simple settings in there) i suspect the korg.

yep thats correct and plus it plays all the time even when not assigned in that configuration.

ok i tried the thing with deleting the control surface and trashing the control surface prefs and saving this as the startup track (how do i make a template an autoload by the way !?) and it seems to still come back !! not that this is that urgent.... its really the prob with the mod and pitch info not gettin to my nord im concerned about....the funnt thing is itll record controll er info from the nords knobs into logic??? hmmm.... Mo

Hi and thanks for your reply ! yes i can see the korg kontrol in the controller setup window.... and if i remove it it doesnt seem to make any difference ....and even if i save the song im on it always is picked up by logic on startup (although i havnt tried saving it as the autoload or trashing the prefs (will this not kill all my settings?) ....and re the audio mid setup ive tried with and with out it wired physically on there no difference really (the only app that seems to need it wired is Unisyn but thats a whole nother story!) and to answer your question the Nord is wired to the presonus firebox...in and out. ... have tried it wired to the actual korg kontrol and it just plays all the time wether logic is open or not !!! thanks for looking into this and hope i can get it sorted Mo

i have the korg kontrol 49 and im lovin it.....will have to try and set the pads up hope i dont get a slap for double posting here but i am having problems getting my nod rack 2 to get pitch bend or mod wheel info from the korg in either native or normal mode ?! can anyone help on this? Hi all... ok so ive had Logic 2-3 weeks now and im really getting my head round it... i have made my case about bugs and improvments on here and now im getting on with my projects (had two signed so far! ) ... one thing that is really confusing me is the relationship between Logic and my Korg Kontrol 49. (and my Nord Rack 2) Basically it works fine with soft synths and i have setup my own templates etc... but when i try to use it with the Nord rack, note info is fine but the modulation and pitch bend wont work, or sometimes will?! i tried taking it ouf native mode.....and plugging it back in etc but no joy, it worked when i did this the other day but seems very random....! just for your info the midi to the nord is going in and out of a presonus firebox .... is there an easy way to get it working and alos can i stop it loading in native mode when logic starts??? ie...not appearing in the controller itmes? (dave you must have a trick up your sleeve for this!?) HELP....its annoying me.... thanks Mo Volans www.virtualopenair.com has anyone got one of these and having similar probs or is it just me !?
