  1. yeah its very complicated to get things working in Logic. i gave up on it and bought Ableton Live, which is reall versatile and simple for routing breathdata.
  2. yes.. pleaaaaase Rewire support in the next update.
  3. thanks. but i did.. thing is i need Rewire(Reason) in my setup.. so i must you logic pro. so any help is much appreciated.
  4. i like to have say 20 tracks.. each track has its own sound/instrument. now i want to switch sounds by going from (switching) say track 1 to track 5.. and after that to say track 7 etc.. i need to be able to select my sounds on stage.. so every track has a sound and by switching from one track to the other i can switch my instrumentsound..using my footcontroller i know there is a up and down function in logic.. but i need to be able to make bigger steps.
  5. Hello, sorry for bringing this up again. but everybody is so busy about logic 8.. i tried to get an answer in the forum but i got stuck. hope someone is willing to help me out. i ve got logic pro 8 now. all i want is using my footcontroller to switch say 20 tracks. but how do i program this.? how do i assign button 1 of my footcontroller to say track 1.. etc.. i need to be able to switch tracks on stage.. i know there are some files on the forum, but i dont understand those. Could some help me out, give me a start.. it should be possible .. but how?? thanks bart
  6. youre latency is set too low.. if you get pops etc.. try a dfferent latency setting in Logic
  7. as i understand it.. you cant.. you can use REX2 files in logic.. but no refills.
  8. hi, sorry for bringing it up again. ive got Logic pro 8 now and trying to figure it all out. could someone please explain to me how this is done. ive looked at the suggested files but i dont understand it. all i need is , say 20 tracks , and being able to select those tracks using a footcontroller. this controller can send out note on/off data, and/or control change messages. my simple tascam 428 mixer is allready setup to do this.. i can easily select one of the 20 tracks at random pressing a button. ....but now i need this using my footcontroller... thanks
  9. there will be not much difference.. the EWI is also putting out breathcontrol data.
  10. just got my logic studio.. so now its time to figure all out... taking it step by step: "Yes. Just open an instrument in the EXS24, assign the breath controller to controller #11 (Expression) and go." 1. how do i assign breathcontroller to controller 11? i cant find that anywhere in the exs? 2. i like to use the synth with my breathcontroller aswell.. how do you setup the ES2 to respond to breath.? ps @ nikki.. i had a VL70m , but i didnt like it.. i dont really care for acoustic instruments that much.. dont think the vl70 is the best.well it is.. but still not good enough for me. i use Reason now as my main soundmodule and it is great .. would love to use Logic in my setup aswell..
  11. what you need to do is in Reason to route the intrumentsen to more audio outputs. this way you can select them back in logic. so get it set up right in Reason first. if reason only outputs in one stereo channel there is no way to split your insturmetns in Logic.
  12. hi, i started this topic since i play the wx5.. which is really a great instrument. very expressive. setting it up is easy.. it has a midi out so all you need to do is connect that midi to your computer. same as any keyboard. ive got myself a midi to usb (fastlane by motu) good to hear EXS is capable of handling windcontrollerdata.
  13. does the exs24 work well with windcontrollers/ breathdata? can you set volume to breath.?
  14. ok mainstage is not going to work.. no rewire so i have to figure out the environment.. which is pretty overwhelming for now. can i in Logic 8 assign as many tracks to my footcontroller buttons as i want.? say 20 tracks assigned to 20 buttons...or more... if someone can confirm this i will buy logic pro or express 8 and start figuring out how to do this. just need to know if that is possible. thanks
  15. me too.. one of the small diferences between logic express 7 and pro 7 is that i cant mute a single midi note in the matrix editor in Logic express. seems like a minor detail, but a big deal to me. hope Express8 wont have those small restrictions.
