  1. For some amazing free hip-hop/pop/dance drums: http://rapidshare.com/files/123150605/MPC_Drum_Library.rar.html or http://www.zshare.net/download/13772792f9993c1a/ or http://www.mediafire.com/?mzdml95zmc3
  2. I would like to know the general opinion on Guitar Amp Pro. Is it as good as Guitar Rig 3? ( I found GR3 to be generally disappointing - too nasal sounding and lack of any good clean amps, Citrus [Orange] is amazing though). I am also think of buying Waves GTR3 Solo, I refuse to use an ilok key, but the Solo version doesn't need one.
  3. Agreed, but the point you are missing is that Logic is updated by Apple every 3-4 years; Garageband is updated every 12 months, eventually the feature set in Garageband will topple Logic Express' (not sure about Pro though). I think Logic Express will probably be discontinued soon, once Garageband becomes a mature product.
  4. I've been messing around with Garageband (comes free with every mac), and just realized how much potential it has. Does anyone think that Garageband - which gets updated every year - will eventually replace Logic.
  5. I need a decent piano and I am thinking about buying Akoustik Piano to go with Logic 8. Anyone recommend it? And how is the competition - such as the new East West Quantum Leap Pianos - which is 150Gb?

  7. The gap between Logic and Pro Tools just seems to get bigger every year. I have to admit I was excited about Logic 8, but after using it for 1 month, I have come to the realization that Pro Tools is a superior product in many ways. Heres why Pro Tools is ahead in 2007: 1. Beat Detection/Elastic Audio (these two features alone seal the deal for most people). 2. Structure (much more powerful than the ancient EXS sampler and the 40 GB sample library that comes with it blows Logic 8s' Jam Packs away). 3. Reel Tape Suite (Logic doesn't have an answer to this, unless you buy the Waves equivalent, which isn't even out yet). Pro Tools is still behind in midi, but with PT 8 on the horizon, things don't look good for Logic.
