It still doesn't specify whether or not the headphone monitors only the incoming signal, or the full DAW mix + incoming signal. Does the USB audio return contain all the tracks in logic or just the incomiong signal? Thanks

I want to buy the Mini Me, but before I do, I need to know the different monitoring capabilities. First, is the full output of logic sent back thru the USB and then monitored thru the headphone jack? Or, is the incoming source (mic 1 or 2) the only audio played thru the headphone jack. Could I take the output of the headphone and use that as my main monitor mix, so that I can monitor my input signal with no latency, along with my mix from Logic? Any help would be great. THanks!

I'm deciding between the Fireface800 and the Apogee Mini Me or Rosetta 200. Do you happen to know if the Rosetta, with the firewire card, will work as a sound card similar to the Firewface, or any other common firewire interface? I can't seem to find out wether or not you can "direct monitor" through the Apogee + firewire. Let me know how it goes, please.

Does anyone use the Rosetta 200 as their audio interface, using the firewire optional card. Is this possible? In other words, could I replace my Motu 828 with the Rosetta 200 + Firewire expansion? I know that there are various input and output differences, but I'm just looking to be able to monitor a mono source thru the Rosetta and record directly in to Logic. Thanks

I am thinking about purchasing the Focusrite producers pack so I can have a hi quality preamp and a better AD converter than my Motu 828. I intend to then use the SPIDF out of my Focusrite into the SPIDF of the 828. This is to record, so my quesion is; will I be able to monitor the digital signal without any latency? Also, if I choose to monitor the SPIDF signal thru Logic, will the latency be equal to the analog latency, or does a digital signal work diferently. Does any one have a similar set up? How does it work? THanks so much for your help/advice.

Does anyone use an Apogee Mini Me as their main sound card? How does the pre amp sound compaired to high level Focusrite, Avalon types? Is the AD noticably better than your average M-Audio or Motu card? What about latency? I know there is a direct monitor, but if you choose to monitor thru the computer, is the latency a big problem because the Mini Me is USB? I'm trying to decide between the Mini Me soundcard, or a m-audio sound card with a good preamp, like an Avalon 737, Focusrite Producer Pack or equivelant. Thanks for your info/advice.
