  1. Good man!! Kudos to you and may you really enjoy this holiday season
  2. Amazon Prime - hopefully I'll have a good book to start reading while all the young ones are busy messing with their new Christmas gizmos!!
  3. png. isn't showing for me, it's just blank??
  4. Also can't figure out which key is for the box of little dots
  5. Individual track zoom reset for one or all tracks And there are other key commands which use that backspace command. Do I have a backspace command on my smaller keyboard without the numbers section?
  6. Thanks teedoff - That's what I thought also, but it doesn't do anything. I have only one delete key on my keyboard - it's wireless. Do you have to have the larger wired keyboard with a delete key also in the numbers section to facilitate these key commands?
  7. Anyone help me find which key is the x in the arrow shaped box?
  8. WOW if they can bring that back then hopefully they'll also support SCSI again so I can use my Syquest cartridges, my Zip and my Jazz drives again!!!!!! (just a joke, don't get bent)
  9. I'm liking a lot of the new features in X, drummer IS pretty slick when you dive deep, flex pitch is giving me some hiccups but still very nice, and the arpeggiator is a great tool and I'm certain I'll find use for it. GUI, well it has a new nickname from me....................FIFTY SHADES OF GRAY ! (although there may actually be more)
  10. By both places I meant that I understand you have to have an initial contact with VE slave by inserting a plug on an instrument channel to open communication, so I created an instrument track and placed a VE plug on it along with a Logic i/o plug disabled to establish communication to the slave. Then I inserted a VE plug on the vocal track. Maybe I don't quite understand yet what I should be doing, but the VE manual is not getting me there. Thanks for the replies, hopefully you can help me sort this out. Here is a screenshot of how I have configured this so far......Yes ethernet connection
  11. I'm currently demoing VE Pro 5 and have gotten along well with instrument tracks. Now I've moved to audio and when I push a vocal over to VE it is distorting badly, even without adding a plug in on the VE track. I do have the i/o plug-in inserted in both places and bypassed as is shown on the VE site. Really scratching my head on this one?
  12. This thread may help - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=78956
  13. Thinking of adding VePro to my setup. Just curious - do you actually need to use a gigabit router/switch? Can you run an ethernet cable directly from the master to the slave if you only plan on needing and using just those 2 machines?
  14. Did a lot of messing with this project and tried everything that has been mentioned by both ski and fisherking - thank you both, as 3 heads are definitely better than 1, and ski, I now appreciate what you said about updating - I really had no obvious reason to do so other than to shake up my peaceful little world! Well, nothing worked, I couldn't even get one track to make it to the end even with deleting the other 2. New project - import audio files - nope. No plugs, no input on any tracks, muting - nothing made a difference - so bizarre! Out of answers.......so, move the file folder to a "different drive" , open the project from the new drive and all is well!!! WTF - I'll never know, nor do I care why at this point - but why does every other project on the initial drive load and run properly with the exception of this one - the only difference being, as far as I can tell, it was the last project started under 9.1.5. Oops gotta go - time for lots of wine Thanks all P.S. while a solution has been found, maybe someone can still chime in to offer a better understanding of what happened
