Solved. Apparently in the course of the update, the device/interface in Logic was set to No Input.

hate to bump this one gratuitously, but it's still a complete mystery to me! i've opened completely new projects and added External Instrument channels -- same deal. I've clicked around in the preference areas, but dont see anything that might relate to this -- and i definitely haven't tweaked anything on my own.

hey guys, anyone experience this? upgraded to 9.0.1 and loaded up a recent project, no sounds coming out of my nord lead channels (set up as external instruments). still responding to midi data, but no sound. so i click on the external instrument plugin to bring it up, and the space to choose the audio input has disappeared!? see picture attached. this makes no sense! unloading and reloading instrument makes no difference...what'd i do!? googled around and found some other external instrument related bugs, but no mention of this.

hey guys, I must've mistyped a command that locked up my automation. Hitting "A" now just shows the automation lane of the same one track (regardless of whether it is selected) and does not show any others unless I'm zoomed up really tight. really frustrating! any ideas?

Hi guys, I'm having an unfortunate problem trying to load some sysex files in an old logic project into my Nord Lead 2x. I installed some new drivers for my sound card recently (TC 24 Konnekt D) and for some reason it corrupted all the external instruments that were set up in my environment. not really a big deal, just deleted, recreated and reassigned them to their respective tracks. however, now i'm going back to older projects, and the regions i'd dumped with sysex patches are not being read by the nord now . is there something embedded within the region that would be tying it to that former, corrupted external instrument? or to a specific midi port? I've also added a networked Konnekt Live to the set up, so the 24 D is now a secondary interface, recognized as "TC Near Port 2" rather than 1. I'm able to dump and read new patches, but can't get it to take the old regions. ive also exported the region as a midi file and tried to load via SysEx Librarian. no dice! Hopefully that makes sense. I've attached the midi region just in case, but if anyone has any suggestions of explanations, that would be awesome! i'm gonna be really burned if I can't get these to take. Thanks a ton in advance. hey all, would anyone be so kind to down save this attached file? i think that's what needs to be done. when i attempt to open in logic 8, i get the following error message: "The format of this file is not compatible with this Logic Pro version. Please load first into Logic Pro version 7.2.1 or earlier to convert the project." i'm picking up one of these synths secondhand, and would love to get familiar with how the environment works for editing! thanks much. matrix1k.lso

Hah ok so I hit the Solo button in the transport (not on the tracks) and highlighted all the regions and then voila I get sound. Strange!

This is possible? What would I do to reset it? I know sometimes I've inadvertently knocked a bus or channel into surround mode, but dont think it had this effect. Interface is TC Konnekt 24D, which I might otherwise name the culprit, but seems to be working fine on other projects.

Should mention that I've just trialed several other projects, all of which seem to be working fine! Have also saved the problematic project to a new folder, etc. Still nothing!

this is KILLING me! I have a full project in logic that I've been working on for weeks All of the sudden when I replay it, i get NO sound. The CPU is still up when I hit play, but no sound registers on any of the channels/outputs/busses. The weird thing is when I hit R on any of the channels and play my keyboard, I DO get sound then. So everything is configured properly as far as I know, but the tracks don't seem to be responding to any of the midi data contained within. I've restarted, rebooted, same deal. Anyone ever seen this? How can I fix? Thanks!
