  10. Hey there - I'm just interested as to why you would want your sub bass to be stereo, as I was always under the impression that sub bass tends to work better in mono? Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!!
  11. Yeah, real amateur software! Pfft! http://www.logicprohelp.com/vip_users.php

  13. Hey man, I've been recently doing something similar, taking my breaks tunes from Logic and working out how to "play" them in Ableton. I've been using the drum racks feature in Ableton a lot - taking maybe the drum kit and various bass sounds from Logic and making up a performance drum rack that I can then play using my Akai MPD 18, along with clips running and live FX on a Korg Nanokontrol. I found a lot of useful information and free drum rack downloads from the DJ Tech Tools website, in particular their Ableton tutorials section (http://www.djtechtools.com/category/dj_techniques_tips/production-tips/live/) I guess it comes down to deciding exactly what how and what you want to play in Ableton - that's the problem I'm having is there are so many options in Ableton for performance play that it can seem a bit daunting. One thing I might add is the midi clips overdub feature in Ableton can be pretty useful for live jamming.
  14. No problems! It's one of those barely used utilities that come with the OS that you occasionally come across, and reminds you why you like the Mac OS so much! Well it does for me anyways! I was the same when I found Quartz Composer comes free with the OS!
  15. You could use Automator to delete the BIP from each file. I often use Automator to rename batches of files and it works very well! Here's a link to some help with that if you're not used to Automator - http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/index_files/batch-rename-multiple-files.php
