  1. Yes tried the those, also tried this https://support.m-audio.com/en/support/home article too. Sure looks like I'm not the only one regarding this issue. I only got it to play piano on as the Kontrol S88 MK3 is way too big for my desk. I'll report back 🫡
  2. Thanks for the info, I just tried the Refresh MIDI Setup but nothing happens. It should still be illuminated in the MIDI Studio even if Logic is closed I gather? It has already crossed my mind to contact M-Audio regarding this, probably will do it.
  3. Whenever I wake the Mac sleep and open Logic, for some reason Logic stops seeing my Keystation 88 MK3 - there is no MIDI Input registered in the transport. I've different combinations e.g., open Logic then turning on the keyboard, or turning on the keyboard and then opening Logic, but none of these work. What works is restarting the Mac but is there another way around this as I don't want to restart the every time? When it works, within the Audio/MIDI setup, MIDI Studio section - the Keystation is illuminated and within Logic > Settings > MIDI > Inputs - it shows up there. When its not being seen, it is dimmed in the Audio/MIDI setup, MIDI Studio section and visible within Logic > Settings > MIDI > Inputs. Is there way through this to make it light up? Thanks On a different note I set up the Keystation in Control Surfaces > Setup - using the Mackie the control - which is what you have to do with the keyboard to use the transport controls.
  4. Thanks David I literally just tried that a few seconds before reading your post and can now see them within Sample Alchemy. They must have changed it in the .1 update? Thanks again
  5. When I drag a sample t the tracks list.header, I don't see the options for Alchemy (Additive) Alchemy (Granular) Alchemy (spectral) What shows is Sample (Alchemy), I'm version 10.8.1, am I missing somthing? Thanks
  6. When I select the notes of the chord below (and the two short notes are absent) and use Trim > Note End to Following Notes (Force Legato) - the chord extends to the end of the bar, which is what I want. But when the I select the chord below and the two notes are present but not selected the chord doesn't extend, it gets shortened to a specific length depending what is selected (shorten or keep) - even though the two short notes are not selected. Is there a way extend the chord to the end of the bar, even though those two notes are present (not using the mouse). Thanks
  7. Just found this thread, looks like you still can't hide MIDI-Controlled Effects from showing up in the Instrument list after customising plugin folder in Plugin Manager. Which was what my longwinded post was about. https://www.logicprohelp.com/forums/topic/99066-plug-in-manager/page/3/ I noticed some manufacturers label their plugins ONLY as MIDI-Controlled effect in the plugin manager, e.g., Arturia/FabFilter - when they can also be instantiated as regular inserts, but also show up in the list below.
  8. Yeah all good with that , but it won't change for any key, it remains on C major (on the display at the top)
  9. I've got a project at the moment in Am but I realised I hadn't change the project to A minor, its still in C major. The thing is when I go to change to Am or another key, nothing happens and it stays on C - is this correct behaviour? Also there a couple of Apple Loops in the project, of course their gonna be playing back in C and not Am ?? If wanted to change the key mid-song I would use the transpose global function (*I notice there is only the Transpose function and no key signature function the global tracks now (only got Logic Pro in the summer) but I would be changing + or - from the key of C major? I though a work around, would be to transpose the regions for that specific sections. Thanks
  10. The left vertical display on the EQ - I never use it really, I haven't taken any notice of it. I'm wondering, if so what value ideally would/should it be on? Thanks
  11. Thanks for the tip, I just turned off Quick Help to check it - when I hover over a plug-in, the plug-in name appears above it, but nothing about samples/latency.
  12. Hi when I hover over like this, nothing appears? I have Settings > Display > Shoe Help Tags enabled - is the correct option?
  13. I load up an Electronic Drum Kit from the library and cycle through a few, then I create a Pattern Region and the Step Sequencer open. Straight after, the library selects Kit Pieces at the bottom, offering various pieces to substitute for the chosen kit. However, when I select another kit in the library, it jumps back to Kit Pieces at the bottom all the time - essentially I can't chose another kit Is it supposed to do this, is there a way around it? Thanks
  14. Hi has anyone had this happen I was recording a synth part with cycle mode on -when recording the part regions takes up bars all the bats from the start of cycle until around bar 49. Then I press space bar to stop the recording just before the end of the cycle at bar 49, as I didn't want it to cycle back round. As soon I as press stop, for some reason the region is clipped short like this - any ideas why? Is it a bug/corrupted? Usually the region will end at the end of the cycle area if the the recording is stopped. I've tried with two other different tracks and the same thing happens - within the particular project and the same thing happens. When recorded with no cycle mode, the region ends just before the end of bar 49 - as it should - when I press stop.
