Ok so maybe i did not express myself clearly.i found the answer to what i want to do in David Dvorins Logic book. Incoporating external effects processors."External effects processors can easily be incoporated into Logic by using a special helper plugin that manages the flow from the audio interfaces inputs and outputs to an external processor.With the plug-in connected, you can treat the external processor almost as if it were a plug in itself , inserting it into a channel or applying itas a bus effect in the mixer. I am not sure if i can do this with the harmoniser i have so maybe someone could enlighten me thanks L

Hi I want to integrate a vocal harmony processor from digitech into my studio.I think that the best way to go would be to cable the harmoniser to my m-audiooctane interface stereo out / to effect in , then out back to stereo in on my octane digital interface. and then use an effect send i/o from logic so as to use the external hardware as one would any other effect.Am I on the right track? has anyone had any experience sending audio other than vocals through a harmoniser? thanks Laurence

Ok the thing I am tryimng to do is the following: I imported an audiofile onto a stereo audiotrack in Logic.The music is classical orchestral music.Certain sections of the composition are simply too slow or too fast.Fortuonately these sections last about 15 bars and have a clean beginning and ending, so itis possible to turn the part into its own audio region.The Bpm of the song has no relation to the music as it changes all the time.I could assign the global bpm to a single regeon in order to time stretch.I am just looking for a quick way to do each section individually within logic. hope this makes some sense thanks laurence

Hi I am working with a few orchestral playbacks , and I need to make certain parts slower or faster depending o n what I need.What would be the most efficient way to do this?I am talking about a few bars here or there which do have a definite bpm however the entire file changes all the time as it is classical music full of rubati etc. thanks Laurence

Hi Pete I looked and they are definitely not where they should be.I guess I need to download them from the Logic CD , however I do not want to do a complete new load of Logic.I was wondering if I could extract them ftrom the cd rom. The reason I am doing this is because I have just started on David Dvorins advanced book which I want to work through and he starts with a few Logic templates.I have my own , but would have liked to work with the ones supplied by Logic. thanks Laurence

Hi When I open File-new-and check the box" Use song template", I find only my autoload template.I checked the content and Logic install CD Rom but could not find the logic custom templates that should be there as far as I can make out.Does anyone know where I can find them? thanks Laurence

i tried external only got start external sample editor under global.that would not respond to a key command.so if you get a chance let me know thanks anyway L

hi lupin i just looked under open open in open external etc in the key command window but am having no luck. any ideas thanks
