  1. Thanks for your CLARITY and patience. I realize that you pro'lly don't know too many peeps who own a $13 000.oo dollar recording system and don't even know BASIC functions BUT,thats ME I will try to burn the CD-RW and see what happens when I delete the dormant SongFile...I have songs/tracks I don't like too much -so it won't be too much of a loss if something doesn't work out the way I planned. I'm sure I'll be back with more questions Thanks AGAIN !
  2. Erase the DISK? I want to DELETE dormant SONGfiles FROM my hard-drive and SAVE ON a physically separate medium...like a CD-RW disc. Kinda like a zip disc scenario:Tracking a complete song on a Boss BR8 (4 example) and simply EJECTING the SONG from the BR8 on the ZIP disk. I'd like to do THAT -->on my g5. I am learning new stuff all the time and would like to DELETE some old, dormant SongFiles.
  3. Yup . I'm working with OSX -a G5 (dual hard-drive/Dual processor) I hope those instructions will allow me to ERASE a song file/clear some dormant SongFiles from my hard-drive/and be able to RE-load the SongFile at a later time thanks again
  4. I haven't even tried your INSTRUCTIONs yet-but I can SEE how you have CLEARLY and concisely explained it that I will be moving ahead on this. Thanks again
  5. LogicPro Help is AWESOME and I do APPRECIATE these tips you are giving me ,BUT..!! [/b]I NEED step-by-step mouse-click-by-mouse-click instructions That means DETAILED key commands This is the Problem I have with Mac Clinics when they come to my home town. The Tech guys zoom past ALL the basic key commands as if we all KNOW what they are. I barely know HOW to burn a CD from the Finder If fact --I DO NOT KNOW HOW the Burn from the finder. I do not even know how to OPEN the Finder on the Song Selection in question. NOPE The MANUAL is NO HELP because -whoever WROTE itALSO ASSUMES that I know BASIC key Commands Mac manuals are just a BAD as ROLAND Manuals that NEVER get to the MOST Common Procedures ANYWAY---I would be VERY Thankful if you could ALWAYS include the basic key commands and Mouse-click moves STEP-by-STEP Tahnk-you-thank-you THANK YOU [/b]
  6. K. Can you give me a hint --couple pointers on EQing,UltraBeat parameter tweaking ? I'd LOVE to USE the UltraBeat--I LIKE its Tonal Qualities. Its just not FAT enough. ...and the BASS sounds...yuk. How do you get that sqeeky fret noise OUT of the Muted Bass patch?...WHY would they put that IN a patch when Bass Players spend Days/Years/hours practicing to MAKE SURE that sound is NOT audible?...aaaagh. Any tips? 4REAL? Thanks in Advance.
  7. I know how to calibrate the Bar Measures to sloppy audio samples. HOW do you go about CORRECTING sloppy samples like a slightly off time bass guitar/drum note? How do you MOVE an Audio note or otherwise correct Audio glitches WITHOUT doing a re-take? I'm looking at my sample screen and I'm wishing I knew how to use it !..lol. Thanks in advance.
  8. WHY should I have to tweak? If the LE sounds HUGE and FAT --->with ZERO tweaking? Plenty of headroom--warm--Bass is FAT---treble is clear/warm/DYNAMIC. WHY does the UltraBeat (and overall mixing/EQing) NEED to be endlessly fussed with when I can come up with a beat on the TRITON with ANY RANGE of tonal subtlety and SIMPLY drop it into the G5 as a an Audio--BOOM!---HUGE!! The hugeness NEVER fades as I layer other tracks over it. The fader NEVER has to be turned past a good upper medium point. I'm using a MOTU 828 rack. This is a major flaw with UltraBeat. It was designed for peeps who dream that Rhythm Section parts are MERELY an afterthought...I'm no CowBoy Junkie..thats for dang sure. I wouldn't mind tweaking if it were as SIMPLE as the TRITON le. I guess this is too much to get into on this forum since I'm STILL trying to figure out how to SAVE SongFiles on a re-writable disc/allowing me to ERASE the SongFile from by Hard drive--->and RE-load LATER if needs be.
  9. View-->Global Track Components--Beat Mapping. pooof---Press "analyze". Line up audio signature with Beat in Bar Measure.(match the 2 on the sample with the 2 on the Bar measure) Maybe you guys are talking the SAME THING and I'm too stupid to get it. But ALL SAMPLES should be calibrated with the Beat Mapping function.
  10. Nope -I don't insist on using iTunes. I'd rather use the finder--but I have NO CLUE of how to do that..mouse-click-by-mouse-click. YUP--I'd also like to empy out some songs from the hard-drive AND save them for later editing or whatever. I talked to my buddy -who is fairly knowledgable-and he says he SAVES his songs on re-writable disc's that he RE-loads LATER and proceeds with the same set up as before it was ERASED from the hard-drive. I don't know why this seems like an unusual thing THere MUST be SOMEONE out there converting songsFILES to a physical copy to empty a hard-drive...or just in case.
  11. I think that is an EQing philosophy thing. Hip-Hip, Reggae,Funk is all about Fat AND Dynamic. When I record my LE its sounds HUGE without touching the fader. Fat--THICK--->AND Dynamic. When I use the UltraBeat--I ALWAYS have to tweek things--turn things up--dial up an EQ plug-in. If I leave it as is--it fades out as I mix real bass or vocals. This does NOT happen with the LE recorded as an audio. Does everything REALLY HAVE TO be mixed--weighed against the gain level/fader of the UltraBeat? I'd like to be able to lay it FAT and HEAVY -->JUST like the LE--->WITHOUT having to tweek things when I KNOW I SHOULDN't have to. Thank you for your patience.
  12. My external sequences recorded as Audio (from a Triton LE) ALWAYs sound waaay fatter than the internal LogicPro7 sequences WITHOUT even touching the channel stripe. Any attempt to TURN UP the UltraBeat -->results in a db spike and nasty digital distortion. I'm cool with using my Triton or QY70--BUT--WHY can't I get the FATNESS out of the LogicPro7 UltraBeat?
  13. But,you might have to come way down to earth and help me out with some mouse click-by-mouse click instructions. All I need to know is how to get some of my songs out of my computer onto a cd. For now,I simply rig an RCA cable from my physical monitor mixer ctr.outs into my rack burner and I get some awesome, radio playable mixes. I'd like do this digitally, internally and more quickly through my g5/LogicPro7. ALSO: I have a friend who regularly dumps his song files onto cd-rw rewritables. He says its to clear up cpu space.Maybe he doesn't know what he's talking about. But,if it is a real procedure-->I'd ALSO like to learn that as well. It might be hard to imagine but,I've never even owned a pc-I just barely know how to use my e-mail. HOWEVER--as a testament to Macs brilliance--i have recorded and mixed some great tracks. I simply need some point-by-point tips. Your kind, patient assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.
  14. I can't remember the last thing I did-->I walked away to take a call--->came back and my POINTER was ACTIVE--->BUT<---INVISIBLE!!! I had to Restart-->which I did my moving the mouse and just GUESSING at where the pointer was landing by observing movement of text in selected areas...dang...How'd that happen? How do I MAKE SURE that does NOT Happen again. I'm using a G5. Thanks.
