  1. I'm on 10.7.9. I have noticed this for years and definitely since I got the M1. It only happens every few days or weeks even - so it's not really reproducible in those terms.
  2. Hi! OK, nothing Earth shattering here, but for YEARS I notice that every now and then I get clicks in my comp folders and notice the crossfade time in settings is at zero... AGAIN. I NEVER change it to zero and I can't see a key setting that does it. This has happened on loads of versions of logic and I just change it. But finally, I'm asking. Who has a clue why this happens?
  3. OK. Thanks, man. This is still the case after the advent of Dynamic Plugin Loading?
  4. Wow. I just finished an album and did some "housekeeping" today. I BUSTED logic. When it was open with ZERO projects loaded in the background, I got the plugin recover alert.
  5. I just thought I'd found the culprit a few days ago, working from a specific template on multiple songs. Then I started a new album project and the recovery box started appearing again. It's a hell of a drag. Thanks.
  6. All apple had to do was just inform us which plugin is causing a problem. Even a "small" or minimal installation of 3rd party plugins can be too big to waste enough time using elimination these days. This one leaves me speechless.
  7. Hi. I'm using the MBP. Nothing's plugged in at all the moment. I have a USB audio device, a mouse and that's it. I go to a browser etc. then the moment I click on the logic icon in the dock: boom.
  8. I'm getting logic starting to play an selected instantiated Alchemy patch when I switch to logic from another program... Like a c0 note or something. It stops the moment I select something else or hit play. It seems to be doing it on whatever is selected.
  9. Well, One thing I find in some apps on the mac is that you can sometimes click on a text entry field and it DOESN'T activate. You look at the keyboard - start typing a name etc. and you suddenly set a whole bunch of parameters by mistake. I figured it might be this, but when I checked the key commands nothing said "set pencil tool to loop in tracks" or anything similar. I even tried a few combinations of the L button but mustn't have had the track set to instrument without a region selected. The devil's in the details. Thx
  10. Great thanks, David. That sorted it. I don't have a clue how this turned itself on - and Ive never set the parameter in 20 years. Hehe. Also, couldn't find info on it after quite extensive searching.
  11. OK this one's weird: My pencil tool, in the arrange/Tracks area is creating looped midi regions... But only in one song. I load up another song and it creates a single region. Switch back - loops. I've been looking for a setting but cannot find one.
  12. Selecting Settings> General> Editing> Right Mouse Button - "opens tools and shortcuts menu" is broken in the piano roll editor. Only the shortcuts are shown. Temporary workaround: There's a drop down tool selector for the two mouse buttons at the top centre of the window. You can select the desired tool by using this.
  13. OK I did it. Yes the tools are missing there in the piano editor and yet present in the other windows.
  14. Is creating a new user going to use GBs of disk space? I ask because this is on a M1 with only 1tb hardwired diskspace.
