  1. Dang it - and here I was thinking I was first to the well - when quite the opposite! I'm losing my edge. lol Thanks for not destroying me!
  2. Forgive me if I'm missing the thread somewhere else - BUT Did anyone notice this little gem? Curious if anyone can verify it works? - While I'm reluctant, I suppose I'm willing to take one for the team - lol (Having all backed up, of course) But if another brave should has already done so - I'd love to know!
  3. Alan - thanks for clarifying the versions there! - I, myself, use Melodyne (and sometimes Flex Pitch - depending on the content) so I only use Pitch Correct for the quick and dirty - so I guess it's been a minute! I'll change the thread title to mach your findings. Dave - I don't know... It's definitely visually unnerving to see all of my previous presets pop up with all notes ON in bright green and teal - then to squint and figure out which notes are bypassed. Previous behavior for YEARS, if I'm not mistaken, is the the bypass button - if hit first - would also turn the note/key off. (Alan - would you maybe be kind enough to verify on one of those previous versions?) While I sort of see the logic (PUN!) in what you're saying - don't you think it's more intuitive to turn the key off when bypassed - if you consider it's not going to touch the note (or anything slightly off the nose) at all. I guess my brain looks at it like a power off/standby button type of metaphor - the note/key buttons are in an off-but-active standby - and the bypass button is like a hard surge-bar OFF for any corrective activity on that note. So if there's no power... How's that stinkin' light still on?? <insert x-files hook> lol but seriously, while the same cannot be said for most of the Apple Ecosystem - Logic has been one of those programs that has been rock solid when it comes to changes to it's native plugins. (Even when most of the effects got GUI overhauls, ditching the skeuomorphic, everything still behaved as expected.) So it just seems very inconsistent for Logic to do stealth switch up like this. Then again, I suppose it COULD considered consistent IF this change was made the same guy who decided to straight-up HIDE the hot little Neural Pitch Detection (at a default OFF) feature in the extended parameters. (which I found by accident) lol!! If you've read this far - you've the patience of a SAINT! lol. I mean I think I've spent more time typing this mountain-out-of-molehill stream of consciousness post than I have even using that dang plugin! So WHY am I even trying to debate this?? This just shows I just need some friends. lol!🙂
  4. I didn't notice this until recently because I don't use the native pitch correction plugin on the regular... When I DO use it, I utilized the bypass functions on certain notes (where simply turning the note "off" does not prevent it from being fully disabled/tracked - this helps prevent that familiar warble/negotiation) ANYWAYS - now whenever I hit bypass - the note turns on. Even if this is a visual/gui bug - it's hella distracting and definitely not in line with YEARS of preview behavior. I've tried this on two different machines with the same bug... anyone else? Joey
  5. I don’t mind the subscription model too much, esp when it’s this cheap. I’ve an M2 IPad Pro that I use as a laptop, so I, personally, am really looking forward to this… and while I will always prefer to work in my studio, it will be nice to know that when I travel, I can just drop $5 and get some more work done. I find the current GarageBand iOS round trip workflow to be absolutely useless for anything except making some arrangement changes - so however abbreviated Logic will be on iOS, I’m sure it will be miles better than GB. I’m hoping it will be on par and even better than Auria. Fingers crossed!
  6. BUMP. I'm having this EXACT same issue! Like you, frozen at a certain number - then now stuck on updating information..! Not good - I'm mid project. 😞
  7. UPDATE: Steven Slate Digital now run natively on M1. (follow the link in this thread's original post under NOT SUPPORTED and it will now state otherwise!
  8. I agree 100%... but dude... holy crap. You are an "environmental" GOD among men... just wow. Just those screen caps were hella inspiring in and of themselves!!! Joey B. OLDSCHOOL Logic user and Trainer. http://echoing.green
  9. With SO many free plugins, demos, trials, etc.. being thrown at us, (not to mention the Manufacturer‘s name being much harder to remember), a “Date Added” column would be SO useful in the Plugin Manager (Much like it is in Finder). Anyone else agree? Joey “We need to play now and LOUD!” - Scott Pilgrim
  10. Ill check this out, thanks! Curious if you tweaked the individual cell volume settings? Not sure about anyone else, but thats the one thing that drives me bonkers, have you noticed that every time you drag a drum sample into an empty cell, the default level is always overdriven??
  11. Is it just me, or is there no way to set autosampler to sample a monosynth and preserve that property (All instruments come up as poly in EXS24) Plenty of articles on how to make a Monosynth a Polysynth with this "feature" - but is there really not a way to Keep a monosynth a monosynth (albeit sampled) - or do I have to open each one up in the Exs, hit the Mono button, then resave every one? Curious if I'm crazy or if I'm not - perhaps someone has a workaround? Joey
  12. I've the same problem. All my custom loop packs are no longer in the browser since the update. Had them on an external disk with an alias/symbolic link. They're still there, so I tried to re-add them all choosing current location option and no luck. I'm curious, @stardustmedia, did that work for you, or are yours still broken? I've a sneaky sneaky suspicion that apple made a change to the actual Apple Loop format criteria that basically renders third-party loops incompatible. I'll explain - This is after doing some extensive troubleshooting with the Myriad app and the good folks at Audiofile Engineering - now called Aurchitect. (Myriad is their audio & loop batch converter) and files I exported to Apple Loop out of the app stopped working (the files were going into the library fine, but no looping or flexing was honored). I then noticed that the newer files did not have a "Follow Tempo" box in the region inspector, where the functional ones did. So then we did a bit-by-bit comparison of one file AIF audiofile untouched, and then another that was converted to Apple Loop natively within logic (which always works but is a one-at-time workflow and not good for batching). We found that they've added two markers at zero with names that are "Tempo: xx" and "Timestamp: xx". So I was happy thinking problem solved and they're going to address it in next Myriad update.... HOWEVER... That was all BEFORE 10.3.2 - now ALL of the third party loops that used to work (from mainstay sources like Samplemagic, Zenhieser, ModeAudio, etc) are expunged and will not re-import, so I'm freaking out a little as I've come to rely on my Loop Library heavily... I'm hoping I'm just missing something small and it's not something that would be catastrophic for some of us small sound library vendors and designers! So I thought I'd check in here... Can anyone else weigh in? Joey
  13. I'm in agreement with all of the happy posts here. I especially love seeing the little "Auto Enable External Sync and Tap Tempo" check box in Project Settings>Sync>General. I do have one question, maybe I'm just missing it (I've looked in both project settings and preferences) - but is there a setting to stop THIS from happening: http://echocentral.com/logic/import.png I just want the default to be NO. I'm used to this nagging dialog in previous versions - but it seemed to only hassle me with apple loops - now in 10.3 dragging out of Stylus brings it up (which it didn't used to) so I'm gonna go nuts if I don't find the setting. Any clues? Thanks! Joey
  14. YES!!!! That TOTALLY did it!! Eric, you are THE MAN!! Logic is responsive again - AND that callout is no longer in the console when launched. So, curious, what exactly is stored in the .cs file? HAPPY HAPPY. joey b
