  1. Hi Ski Thanks for helping make this forum what it is today. All the best with your project. LIP Ski (Live In Peace).
  2. What's funny is that author has three books, all about Logic and none is out yet... To add to the speculation, she seems to have been working for Apogee, as well as for ... Apple...
  3. Loopmasters has a bunch of psytrance sample cds, drums & fx IIRC. There they are : http://www.loopmasters.com/search?version=simple&new_search=true&q=Psytrance&ql=&qf=&qg=&x=0&y=0
  4. So that's why... I live in France TBH I wouldn't count on AirDisplay for moving stuff etc I find it a bit jerky actually. You can see here at 1:39 how the calculator moves in the iPad display.
  5. I own an iPad since a few weeks. For now I only use V Control as a Logic controller, it has the most control features of the three (but also the more expensive). You can control plug-ins with it, but not instruments, only effects. Lots of key commands included as well as shortcuts. I've been bothering the dev with questions (before and after buying it) and he was always nice and responsive to all my questions/requests. Very easy to set up an adhoc connection thru wifi, and it's pretty fast actually. No noticeable latency here, using it together with other audio apps. I'm pretty interested in Touch OSC for the alternative controls it can offer (for instruments etc). I think it's the only app that offers faders and knobs control desktop app. that I know of. I also own a Zero SL MK2 (before that had a 25 SL MK1) and I find V Control waaaaaay easier/friendlier to use than Automap. I'd have gladly paid a few dozens €'s more for motorized faders on the SL, which is the biggest dealbreaker for a control surface imho. iOS 4.3.5 is already out. Apple will probably launch iOS5 very soon which was announced weeks ago. http://www.macrumors.com/2011/09/27/apple-issues-invitations-for-october-4th-iphone-media-event/ We'll know then what's next. That's for my 2c.
  6. Doesn't the Axiom Pro ship with an integrated daw control soft? Hyper control... Why not use that instead? It's an M-Audio, not Novation.
  7. I often use the V cmd. The caveat being that sometimes I forget I had hidden some plugs, so I double click when inserting a new one, and bam all the previously plugs re appear, and there I have to be aware, not to tweak the wrong Eq or compressor....
  8. lol ... well you were the one to choose that nick kvraudio, dontcrack and gersic are the first to come to mind.
  9. A stripped cycle loop is for jumping that part. For example, if you put the playhead a little bit before the stripped cycle & play, when it arrives at the left locator it'll jump to the right one and continue playing afterwards.
  10. +1 fot Toontrack products. Started with EZD, now using Superior 2 where you can mix and match different EZX's (expansions packs).
  11. My most used synths these days are : Camel Audio Alchemy, FXpansion DCAM, U-he Zebra, Fabfilter Twin2 & Synapse Dune.
  12. And what is your opinion about these much options? Amongst all those I'd go with the AKAI MPD if you have the cash (and you get knobs and faders as well) or the Korg PadKontrol for a cheaper alternative (depending which MPD you're lurking on). I know a guy who owns a PK and swears by it whenever possible. The nanopad (mark1) suffers from built quality, and if you google it, you'll find lots of users complaining the quality of the pads response, after a few time of use. I'd avoid the LPD as well since I find these tiny controllers not friendly for drum programming (imho of course) Forget about the launchpad as it isn't velocity sensitive. Krist did comment on the trigger finger. Just my 2c
