  1. Here's a quick summary of the link that Fisherking just posted: bench1.jpeg bench2.jpeg Let’s wait and see how that translate to logic an track numbers…
  2. Any news if all those new GPU cores are any good for Logic?
  3. Thanks for the feedback I’ll give it a try.
  4. So the only solution is too bounce the track and turn it off? Or use the freeze option?
  5. Latency is like half a second, unless you have plenty of CPU to spare, which you don't. But is it "usable"? I have a mbp i7 2,7 quad core that I can connect to a 1gb ethernet hub. If not I can look into building normal PC. I have some spare stuff some where.
  6. My problem are third party synths. Logic stuff works fine. But insert a Diva, Arturia Synth and Sylenth I've get a thread that ends it all.
  7. Wow opensource and everything that's impressive. Have you used it? Can you comment on it?
  8. So is it possible to use another Mac as a slave for AUs?
  9. Hello, Are there any tutorials on how to set this up with 10.6? Thanks you.
  10. It's not a big deal, really (well, other than the pollution created by the carbon-footprint of the wasted shipping back and forth). We're only sharing opinions. Would you rather we let you purchase anything without saying anything — even though we have a strong feeling the purchase is a mistake? Opiniones are perfect when they are backed by facts. Coming up with irrelevant things just to argue is crazy.
  11. Like David said, I honestly doubt you're gonna hear a difference. And just plugging it in and saying: "Wow, what a difference!", is too easy. You would have to do an actual blind test with this unit and your RME. But hey, it's your money. Why is this such a big deal? If its not worth it I send it back. EU there is 14 day return policy by law. If im not satisfied I just return it.
  12. Ok then yes that's what I was answering to earlier: I believe the DAC inside your RME ADI is probably already as good as (probably better) than the one you linked to in this topic. I don't think you'll hear a difference honestly. My unit is about 10 years old. Chipset in Gustard X16 is an ESS ES9068AS DAC. One of the best DA available right now. This DAC is one the top reviewed at audiosciencereview.com. Its about 400€ yet it compares and its "better" than other DACs toping 800-1000€. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/gustard-x16-balanced-mqa-dac-review.17419/
  13. Hi, Yes I do. Its the original, there have been about 2-3 updates since this unit came out. It works great but was just looking for something better that won't brake the bank -Cheers
  14. You're welcome. And you're correct, core audio handles LPCM. LPCM is not, however, a protocol. Hi, Excuse my English.. Thank you.
