  1. Thanks for that info. Guess it is what it is...
  2. Greetings. I've just had a couple of updates done to my system and it seems that Logic is cranky about it. Not sure if and how they are related but my UAD and Softube plugs got updated a few days ago then the macOS got updated to 14.4 a day after and now none of those plugs get validated by Logic. It just comes back as "crashed validation". This is on my main studio machine which is a mac mini M2. Everything is updated to the latest version, including Logic. I have my laptop which is mbp M1 running the exact same system as my mac mini, basically a clone. Usually I update things on the mbp first to test it and make sure it works before updating on the main machine. That's the weird part, no issues on the mbp after updates but the mini is not happening. So far I've deleted the plugins, restarted computer, reinstall plugins, restarted computer but no luck. Then I've deleted Logic and all files/folders associated, restarted computer, reinstalled Logic, restarted computer but still no luck. And i've tried the o'trick of selecting a plug and Reset&Rescan inside Plugin Manager but nothing. I just don't get it. I also have Ableton Live and during the process of uninstalling/reinstalling I check to see if everything works with Live and no issues what so ever with both AU and VST versions of all plugins. Are there any new tricks to get these damn plugs validated? Forget why it happened, that's beyond me since my other computer is pretty much the same architecture and no issues. Just wondering if there is a way to fix it before erasing my drive and start from scratch, which I'm not looking forward.
  3. Guess i gotta start doing it again...Got spoiled with the good updates and forgot about it.
  4. Did not make a copy. I was hoping for a way to download 10.7.3 and install it. All updates have been solid up until now. Mixing a couple of songs and one keeps giving me crackles in some spots when bouncing, can't figure out why, and the other has an issue with one of the Unfiltered plugin which is kinda crucial. But, overall, I've had other strange behavior with this last version, just lil things you noticed here and there. Honestly, from my perspective, it's been the shitiest update in a while....
  5. Is it possible to go back a version? 10.7.4 gave a sleuth of issues with some projects and would like to go back to 10.7.3.
  6. Thanx man.... it was the Quick Help but i don't have a shortcut setup under Key Commands so i don't know how it got turned on. I found it under the "Help" tab and turned it off.
  7. Not sure what happened, just appeared out of nowhere, maybe i've clicked on a shortcut that turned it on but i cannot find a way to turn it off....
  8. Then how come all these other assignments i didn't have before, showed up when i opened the client's project? I mean, there were 3-4 Mackie Controllers on that list i didn't have....You willing to take a chance, if i send you a file?
  9. Just had a client send me a logic project and after opening it up my Qcon controller went berserk, it just kept not wanting to do what i need it.... After cleaning up the project, closing down logic and qcon, upgrading my firmware, restarting computer, and still nothing i took a look at the "Zone" list and realized it had a bunch of stuff in there that had nothing to do with my setup so i can only assume the client had some other controllers setup but for some reason they were conflicting with my Qcon so i just deleted everything and re-installed the Qcon as a Mackie Controller and everything was fine. So what exactly just happened? Corrupted file and why? Or is logic just collecting all this info under the Zone tab and not quite know how to re-connect with the proper hardware?
  10. really digging the 'reverse' option in the Inspector, ala Ableton
  11. thx for that info....been on gearslutz checking what others have to say and it seems that the core load distribution issue is still a problem, i'm not alone in this. oh well, maybe next time...
  12. I've been keeping up with the updates but haven't payed much attention to all changes although there seems to almost always be something about optimization and better use of resources but one thing i still don't understand is the distribution of resources between cores. My lappy is 4yrs old and has 4 cores and had the option inside logic to switch to all cores available at all times (as suppose to Automatic) and by looking at the meter, the first core gets the most usage and the last core comes in second while the 2 in the middle get almost half as much use. Problem is eventually the first core will hit the ceiling and eventually the song will stop playing. In the meantime the cores in the middle stay at about 60% use so i don't understand why the load of the first core is not distributed to the other ones that have less usage. So i just upgraded to 10.3 and still no change and in fact i'm having some issues with plugin heavy projects, i'm including a few screen shots with the cpu load with the regular session then after getting rid of over 20 third party plugins:
  13. Have a project that was giving me pops/clicks on a track that had lots of fades. Was fine a week ago and when i opened it last nite fades on some of the regions dissapearred so i had to redo it manually.
  14. Same ol problem of corrupted fade files.... we used to delete them in order to rebuild, guess is not an option anymore?
  15. "Delete All Fade Files", thought was under the "Mix" tab but don't see it there? What am i missing??
