  1. The command that you are looking for is 'Hide/Show All Empty Tracks'. It does not have a short-cut but, it does what you need after you add your own short-cut command.
  2. Yes, thanks, that is what I am working my way through, selecting and hiding tracks not needed for the processes that I am doing. Again, thank you, CS.
  3. Yes, I do the bounce inlace and the tracks bounce to the expected location. Getting rid of all the other unused tracks so that I could mix based on the bounced audio tracks visible was the reason I made stems. but, it is not necessary as I do not have to send stems to anyone. We can consider the as a solved problem and I will continue to look into how to hide all unused tracks. I recently saw a video on the subject and I will check the short-cut in the video. Thank you very much, CS.
  4. Yes, I was using a template project and making the suggested changes fixed my file import problem of negative space. Thank you.
  5. How do I get rid of the extra space created on importing audio tracks. That is remove the -x space that is created before the start time of the project. Thanks.
  6. After. I bounce my MIDI tracks to audio, I would like to create a ‘mix’ project with the audio aligned as bounce. Whenever I import the bounced file, it aligns to the current pay head location. Is there a way to import the bounced file to it’s proper location on the time line? Thanks.
  7. I was surprised to find that my imported Apple Loops were 44.1K even when added to a project at 48K. Should I leave them at 44.1K or bounce the loops to to get them to be 48K like the project? Thanks, CS.
  8. Is there a way to capture the MIDI generated by the arpeggio of an AU instrument? For example, I play a not on my keyboard into an active AU instrument. And, that AU instrument generates more notes then I played. Is there a way to capture those generated notes? Thanks, CS.
  9. Remove FabFilter and any other non-LPX AU from the project and save it as a new version to see whether it is the external AU. I removed Kontakt v4 and v5 by taking them out of the Component folder. I have had not further problems with hanging!
  10. Perhaps it could be a problem plugin. I was using Kontact 5 on my LPX v6.x, it would hang and not close properly. I do understand that hanging in that manner is not your issue but, I was surprised that a AU plugin that verified could cause a problem. YMMV...
  11. Atlas007, Thank you. Initially, I thought that my new MOTU 828es interface was the issue until I tried Cubase and Live. Are your libraries for Omnisphere on a SSD drive or a 7200 rpm HDD?
  12. I get a thump sound whenever I select a new AU instrument. Sort of a thump sound after the AU is ready to use. For clarity: MacOS Catalina v0.16.5; LPX v10.5.1 drivers and software are up-to-date. I have tried this with LPX, Cubase v10.5 and Ableton v10; only LPX does the thuMp sound after the loading of the AU instrument.
  13. David, thank you. That was helpful but besides using a lot more memory, there was no change to how the plug-ins associated with the Bus/Aux and/or the Stem tracks reacted. The associated plug-ins did not activate. So, that leads me to believe that they are not required/necessary with the exception that if they are needed, they would require manual activation. Would you agree?
  14. Hello, I route most of my instruments and audio channels to a Bus/Aux channel and route the resulting bus to an associated audio channel to create stems. All of the Bus/Aux and the associated audio channels have some minimum amount of effects such as Gain, EQ and Compression on each channel. Unlike effects on instrument, effects and regular audio channels that become engaged whenever signals are recognized, the effects of the associated Bus/Aux and audio channel effects do not automatically engage. Can you explain why this is happening? Perhaps, I do not need these extra effects on the Bus/Aux and associated audio channels. However, as needed, I can manually turn the various effects on and they will effect the resulting audio stem. Trying to understand LPX and use it in the most effective way! Thank you for your responses, CS.
