BUMP!!!! Hi Had to bump this as I'm still having the same problem.. Ive just done a clean install of everything and still the same.. Im running 12.6.3 and 10.7.7 Thanks in advance

I use stereo panning on everything ( apart from the obvious ) It gives me more control on placing instruments in my sound stage...plus its from my analog days. So when Logic added it in an update I was very pleased ..until now. The balance doesn't really pan properly imo.. of course it has its place but I get much wider and spaced out mixes using the stereo pan.

I’m running Catalina .. happens with a virgin project... of course I can use balance but I prefer stereo pan.. I only updated to Catalina from Mojave because of this issue.. I guess I’ll be working around it for while yet ...

I am working from a template but I'm sure it happens from a fresh project...this has never happened before and I have seen other posts on this forum so its not just me... Obviously balance is ok in most circumstances but its not working properly? this is not a design why would it be? Maybe its a OSX issue? ..

It happens to every channel midi or audio.. It also happens when I have no plugins just audio.. Basically it just stops moving but if I switch it to balance then it works fine. I then switch back to stereo and it reverts back to my previous setting and freezes again, until I reboot the computer not just logic.. I have to reboot ... This must be a Bug ? I’m sure I’m not the only one experiencing this..

This is so frustrating!!! The stereo pan stops working randomly and I have to reboot my computer for it to work again..until obviously it stops again??? I have no idea why this happens and have seen other posts saying the same.... It only started when i updated to 10.4.7 i think... so I updated until now I'm on 10.6.1 and still the same. This is making mixing very frustrating. If anybody knows what's up then please let me know... Thank you ps: why can't I make this post title bold?

Its all good David I just found the answer on another thread from 3 years ago.. Auto Input Monitoring was checked ... unchecked it and its working perfectly.. Thanks for your help always appreciated .. Merry Christmas

Ha Ha I knew you would say that... Ive rebooted logic with no plugins this time it worked until I stopped and resumed and then nothing again..2 pics to show you.. Top pic is after I've stopped and restarted as you can see nothing coming through to the stereo out

Actually David I have just opened a fresh project no plugins just 1 channel and an input channel, this time nothing happened at all..it didn't even work once ..this must be a bug? As you can see from the pic still nothing... Is there a work around I'm not thinking of?

Im routing back into inputs 1 & 2 where the record enabled track is.

Hopefully these pics explain it better.. You can see from the first pic, on the record enabled track, that I'm getting an input which is good but nothing registers on the analyser on the stereo out? On the second pic you can see it registering on the analyser which is great..then I just mute the input channels on my soundcard so i can just hear the output.. perfect.. But then I stop the song as you do and then resume but nothing? it goes back to the first pic where is doesn't register etc.. I have to reboot logic for it to work..not good obviously.. The top pic is when its working fine.. bottom pic is after I've stopped and resumed

A you can see I've routed my stems through my outputs into my desk and the back into logic... Like i said it works fine until I stop the song... i just loaded it back up to take the screen shoot and it worked fine but again nothing when i resume play... I basically want the analyser to monitor all the out together..

I’m summing a mix out through a desk and back into logic... I’m using outputs 3&4 5&6 7&8 9&10 and then summing them back into logic and recording which is all good no problem.. but I want to use a spectrum analyser on the final output, which is the channel I’m recording on, so I enabled software monitoring which worked great until I stopped the project.. then nothing ?
