  1. I have a 17" MBPro from 2009 that is still running just fine.
  2. You're welcome. I hope you sort it out! There is probably a hardware solution as well if you wanted to go that route. You could use a Dante AVIO adapter connected to a pair of outputs on your Apollo connected to your switch or router then connect the AVIO to the X2p in Dante Controller.
  3. I work in a Dante equipt facility (RedNet) but have limited experience with Dante Via. Our studio computers (running LPX) have RedNet PCIe cards in place of your Apollo so routing to our AM2's for HP's is simple with Dante Controller - they are all on the Dante network. I also work in a MacLab that has Dante Via on the iMacs running LPX. I have been able to send audio from an iMac to the Control Room Mac via Dante Via. This is the opposite of what you're doing, and my memory is a little fuzzy on this but I remember it being a multi-step process to work. It didn't involve creating an aggregate device though. On the MacLab iMac I remember connecting LPX to Dante Via 16-track output and then going into Dante controller on another computer, finding that iMac and connecting two of it's outputs to the RedNet PCIe card of the Control Room Mac. So, I guess for you: LPX with Apollo has Dante Via running with LPX connected to 16-channel output then in Dante Controller connect that Mac's transmitters to the X2p receivers. Hope this helps. If you replaced your Apollo with a Dante PCIe card this would all go away but I'm sure that's nit particularly helpful. Mike
  4. I use a Focusrite RedNet system with the RedNet PCIe card, RedNet 1 for i/o, plus various other RedNet boxes.
  5. No nudging or manually entered delay compensation for the aligned track.
  6. Glad you got it to work. Using the method I described earlier, if I zoom in until I can't zoom in any further one of my "printed" tracks is just a hair off the original. But in another session the Printed track lines up perfectly with the original. Weird. I must admit I'm slightly confused by your description. In the I/O plugin itself, what are you setting the Output to, and what are you setting the Input to?
  7. I'm not printing (recording) the EQ'ed sound - I'm mixing hybrid through it in real-time. I do have a couple of session where I have printed the EQ to a new audio track so I'll check them out later today when I'm in the studio.
  8. I use the i/o plugin on individual audio tracks all the time to pass recorded audio through my analog EQ's and compressors. For example, just yesterday I was using my Kush Electra to EQ a snare drum track. On the snare track I insert the i/o plugin, configure the plugin according to which output and input I'm using, turn on input monitoring for the snare track, then ping the track. Works every time. Mike
  9. I have a RedNet system with the PCIe card, but I use DVS on my redundant recorder. Works as advertised.
  10. Just though I would share with everyone three new releases that were recorded and mixed in Logic Pro X. For those interested I'm using a Focusrite RedNet recording system; 4x RedNet 4 (mic pre's), 1x RedNet 1, 1x RedNet 3, 1x RedNet PCIe card. The latency in headphones during tracking is inaudible with our system. Here are two jazz trio releases: https://mikecassells.bandcamp.com/album/mike-cassells-trio-at-the-isabel https://mikecassells.bandcamp.com/album/mike-cassells-trio-3 And here is what I call my Power Trio; drums, guitar and trumpet (through fx's). This is completely improvised music: https://mikecassells.bandcamp.com/album/mike-cassells-power-trio Mike
  11. Hi, These two jazz releases were recorded and mixed in Logic Pro X. The group recorded live off the floor in one large room with no isolation between the instruments. There are no overdubs or edits to correct notes. I hope you like it. http://kjcc.bandcamp.com/album/newcourt-sessions-vol-1 http://kjcc.bandcamp.com/album/newcourt-sessions-vol-2
