  1. It may not be a big deal but when I'm doing lots of takes, I generally Undo between rather than using Delete. So I just hit Command Z and go again. Suddenly I'm having to do that twice because apparently when I record there follows a Tempo Export so that must be Undone before the Take is Undone. So I think I must have hit some key that triggered the Tempo Export in the project... Hope that makes sense.
  2. Hey there, I seem to have inadvertently turned this on and I can't find where to turn it off. Also, when I open a Logic project I see something about analyzing transients...another thing I must have hit accidentally. Thanks in advance, John
  3. It was the link button! Thanks so much!!
  4. Thanks, I was able to turn off the midi panning but now an odd thing has happened. I can't look at any of my other midi tracks in the piano roll. Whenever I hit P, regardless of what region is selected, the only track showing is this one. When I tried deleting it and then the piano roll shows nothing. I've even tried restarting...
  5. I created a score in Finale and imported it as a midi file (2 parts actually), into Logic and one part brought along midi data regarding panning that I can't seem to over ride. I tried copying the part (in the piano roll editor), and pasting it into another track and it wouldn't play it. It would only play it in the default Logic Steinway Piano and panned on one side.
  6. Hi, When I'm recording I use the 4 beat count off and the click (or sometimes I'll set up a high-hat in drum designer for a click track), has started coming in quickly, out of tempo and then corrects in the second measure. Anyone else having this issue? It never happened in 10.3
  7. Thanks so much, Plowman! I've got all my old keystrokes back now and I've already wiped my 2009 Mac Pro! Yeah, I'm digging my new Mini! I've been long overdue for an upgrade!
  8. Hey there, I've just gotten a new computer and have upgraded to Logic Pro 10.5 and I didn't transfer all my keystrokes. I can't see how to set up custom keystrokes for the Cycle Range. I've already customized a lot of keystrokes in the new version so I'm familiar with creating custom keystrokes. Thanks in advance!
  9. I'm wondering though, how to transfer everything over to a single hard drive? How can I best organize Logic Projects and Virtual Libraries from their previous individual hard drives to the single 2TB drive of the Mac Mini?
  10. Thanks! That's what I needed to know! I'll just pick up an extra SSD.
  11. Well after 11 years, I'm moving from my 2009 Mac Pro to a 2020 Mac Mini, with a 2 terabyte drive. I'll finally be able to move beyond Logic 10.3. I imagine the most recent Logic won't give me much of a learning curve so my main concern is the way I set up using 3rd party plugins and where to store my projects. On my old Mac Pro I stored my projects on a separate drive and my virtual instrument libraries on a 3rd drive. Any suggestions on how to set up my new Mini. Should I partition the 2T drive? If so, could someone point me to a tutorial? Here are the specs on my new Mini : 3.2GHz 6‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 4.6GHz) 32GB 2666MHz DDR4 Intel UHD Graphics 630 2TB SSD storage And here's the way I've used the hard drives on my old Mac.
  12. Thanks Triplets! That worked!
  13. I actually do those things. I do sometimes go for a while in between saves while working on a project, but I definitely do a Save As at the beginning and also everytime I close a project. Also, oddly enough, most of the time when I get this message, I just hit skip all and the project opens up just fine with all files intact.
  14. Here's another example from a different project I am just now opening.
