  1. cool , I'm happy to finally be able to share something with the forum , that has helped me so much in the past , cheers David !
  2. Here is a Korg DW8000 synth editor I made in logic's enviroment ,it is not perfect since I'm no sysex wizard but it helps make synth patches faster, hope you guys like it! (you must set your Dw8000 to midi channel 5 for the editor to work.) Daniel Korg DW8000.zip
  3. Hi flexoffset sorry ,it;s been some time since i've checked the forum and I just read your post asking for the dw8000 enviroment , do you still need it? I'm not home right now but , i will get there tonight and i can look for it in my external drive to upload it , cheers!
  4. I figured out , i had an error in the sysex string , now it's working like it should , thanks!!
  5. I read about that but the korg dw8000 from what i've read is not able to output midi sysex information , it only receives it
  6. I've been trying to send midi controls from the logic enviroment (Using Logic 9.1.4, on a i7 Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard 10.6.7) to two external synths (yamaha tx81z,korg dw8000) but haven't been able to get them to respond I created sysex faders in the enviroment and conected them to my synth objects , read the manuals to input the correct data , but they don't work so I figure there is something I'm doing wrong, all this midi sysex is really new for me , hope someone can give me a couple of tips on that (I've included a logic file with my enviroment if someone would like to check it out) thanks in advance! Daniel Sysex.logic.zip
  7. I figured it out , when I edit the patch I hit record in logic and can send the patch dump from the synth , then when I want to load the patch back just play it , and the synth recognizes it , thanks !!
  8. I was messing around with the editor and found out that when i hit record and move the faders they actually get recorded without modifying anything, no midi feedback loop , do you know why this happens?
  9. how can i get logic to save the edits i make in hardware synths (i mean like if I edit a patch while using the computer,or make a patch from scratch) not program changes , for example using a synth editor in the enviroment , or the knobs on the actual synths, kinda like when you use synth plugins.I read MIdi Quest can do that , but was wondering if logic does that already.
  10. Cool I'm gonna try that see what i come up with hehe , thanks!!!
  11. I finished the editor, it's a little messy but it works ! how do you record the output of the faders?? hehe! to answer the question about what is the benefit of having the editor in the enviroment, at least for me it is sometimes useful to see the values I send with those knobs , or not always having to go to the synth to make some automation or edit something, maybe it's because i got so used to using logics softsynths , who knows but to me it's useful , cheers!!! (By the way I love reaktor , building simple synths and that kind of stuff!)
  12. thanks a lot for the tips I'm gonna try the things you said, see if I can get it to work !!!
  13. Or do you know of some sort of tutorial for that , thanks in advance!
  14. yeah i never had that problem until i tried to open that file , but luckly you helped me out so thanks once again hehe, dude do you by any chance know how to make those kind of editors in the enviroment??, i'm interested in making one for my nord lead 2x but don't really know where to start
