  1. I've been going through the same problem; could you elaborate on your solution, David, as I didn't understand it?
  2. Thanks for the tip, David. Really appreciate all the instantaneous help. 🙏
  3. Okay, so this is really weird: I opened up my session just now, imported the sample I wanted to use again so I could send it to you, and it's working fine now. I'm so mind-boggled. I've noticed these temporary bugs with Logic over the past year; sometimes my secondary/command-click actions don't pop up, other times I can't loop anything, then sound for the entire session disappears, etc etc... and they are all rectified when I quit Logic completely, and restart. I thought it was my computer, but I am running Pro Tools, etc. as well, and I haven't had any similar issues with anything else.
  4. How do I share the project with you?
  5. my session starts 8 bars ahead (I have a habit of leaving space always before creating a "Start" marker for my sessions). This was done deliberately. But if I hit "enter," my playhead goes to the beginning, which is 1 1 1 1.
  6. Hey all, so I am having a very similar issue right now; this issue didn't happen prior to today. No new updates or installations have been made. Currently working with 10.7.4. I imported an audio mp3 file into my session, and wanted only the 1st 4 bars. So, the usual steps to do this would be placing the playhead at the end of those 4 bars, and splitting the region; this would make a clear separation, and that's that. However, now, it's not splitting at the playhead, but splitting 1 BAR PAST the playhead. What's even more odd is that the extra bar past the 4 bars has NO SOUND. So I thought: "okay, small issue... just trim that silent 5th bar back to the end of Bar 4." But 1. I have to drag the cursor/mouse pointer way past the left of the screen to get it to trim, and, 2. once I trim it, now the 4th bar is silent (which it wasn't prior to trimming bar 5). I'm completely perplexed. I've restarted Logic, but that didn't work. Anyone else having similar issues, and knows WHY...?
  7. I randomly discovered this trick: when in the mixer window, if you hold down SHIFT, and then click (with your mouse) on any bus or send, it automatically goes to + highlights the Aux track that the bus/sends are connected to. I am sure I am super late in terms of how long this feature has existed, but just wanted to share my amazement with everyone. Quite sick.
  8. Oddly enough, I am experiencing the same exact issue (as Desmund above) right now, in Logic 10.6.3. I went into my mixer, and made sure my "Preview" Channel didn't have the solo button slashed, but that didn't help. Basically, when I play my session & want to preview any loops, none of the loops play. If I stop my session & play the loops by themselves, they work, and I see/hear the audio coming through the Preview channel. But this doesn't occur while my session is playing. Is there something I am missing or not doing? My loops were working perfectly fine a few days ago (when I previewed 100's), so I am not sure what I've done to mess this up. What I am working with: Apple iMac (10.15.7), Logic 10.6.3, and a Focusrite Saffire Pro 26. Note: I've opened other song sessions, and the loops work fine. So obviously I've obliviously changed some setting in this particular session that has muted the loops. UPDATE: I opened a bunch of other sessions, all of which were working fine. I noticed that ALL the "prelisten/preview" channels had their solo buttons with the red slash, and all working fine. After that, I opened my session in question, and all of a sudden the loops were playing along with the session again. Go figure! Any professional opinions about this?
  9. Came here for exactly the same reason / issue... thanks a lot for your help, David! Through your suggestion, I found out that one of my HIDDEN tracks was protected, and hence the message. Working fine now
  10. Hey gentlemen, thank you so much for all the help + information. I tried everything both of you suggested, but nothing worked. I checked my HIDDEN tracks too - nothing. @David Nahmani: what I meant was that on 2 of my audio tracks, I had a SEND bussed (Bus 1) to the AUX 1 channel strip. On both these audio tracks, I then set the Main Out to "No Output" so that the audio signal from these Audio tracks could only be heard/controlled via the AUX 1 Channel. Sorry: I guess I am terrible at explaining myself coherently. Hope this makes sense though. What I ended up doing was creating a new AUX channel, and bussing the 2 Audio tracks to this new AUX channel (which showed up in my arrange window once I armed it to be "read"). But the mystery of AUX 1 perplexes my daydreams.
  11. The oddest thing happened: I had an AUX 1 channel strip (with 2 Audio tracks bussed via bus 1 to this AUX 1 channel). I do not know how, but somewhere down the line, Bus 1 was removed from both Audio Tracks, and AUX 1 disappeared. So I re-routed both Audio Tracks via Bus 1 (no other AUX channel is receiving Bus 1), and still nothing. I know for sure that I had armed the "read" button of the AUX 1 channel so that it could be visible in my Arrange/Tracks Window. After searching, I found the AUX 1 channel in the Mixer Window, but only if I view it in the "All" tab (see Attachment Point #1). In addition (Attachment Point #2), "Read" is in green, but the entire read Button is not highlighted in green. If I click on the "Tracks" tab (upper-mid section of the Mix Window), the Aux Channel disappears. There is sound, and I can control everything on the Aux 1 Channel, but I can't SEE it in my arrange or mixer window, unless I view it via the "All" tab. Could someone please point out what I am doing wrong, and how to get this Aux 1 track to be visible in my Mixer ("Tracks" tab) + Arrange windows. Thank you, in advance!
  12. I experienced the same issue about 10 mins ago. I am working with Logic Pro X, and was trying to import a loop from SPLICE. In my previous sessions, importing an audio file from SPLICE was seamless. However, with my session today, it kept saying that my session was 48, while the sample was 44.1. When I hit "convert audio sample rate," i noticed that the pitch got higher. Couldn't understand why. After some fooling around, I started a brand new session, and instead of directly dragging + dropping the loop from SPLICE into a blank Logic session, I created an AUDIO track first, and then dragged the loop from SPLICE onto the AUDIO track. This seemed to work. I hope that this might be a solution for anyone else who is experiencing this problem.
  13. Stratquebec: I figured it out! I have to click on each track that has the vocal sample, and in the Region Inspector itself, I have to remove the tick-mark on the "Follow Tempo" button. That worked. Thank you very much for all the replies & advice / help!
  14. No, neither of those 2 options were on or changed. Flex is off + transpose is set at 0.
