  1. Hi guys, Updated to a 2021 M1v MacBook Pro and would like to get use of some of my old Arturia synths. It does not seem possible without coughing up for the latest 8.2 version. The website says you need to enable Rosetta in the application, but it's not available on mine for some reason (see attachment). Any thoughts please
  2. Hi David. They did solve it and it wasn't their Sylenth1. I deleted Sylenth1 and was still getting that same old error message with no plug-ins installed. The solution was as follows: Delete the Logic Pro PLIST file In Logic Pro, note any custom preference settings that you’ve made, and save any custom key commands that you’ve created. Quit Logic Pro. In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder. Enter ~/Library/Preferences, then click Go. Remove the “com.apple.logic10.plist” file from the Preferences folder. If you upgraded from Logic 9 or earlier to Logic Pro, also remove the “com.apple.logic.pro” file. Restart your Mac.
  3. Deleted everything apart from Synlenth1 and still getting the crash. Lenner Digital say it's M1 compatible.
  4. I'm looking for advice on simplifying my live set up, please. I currently use LPX for stereo backing tracks i.e. 1. drums, 2. bass, 3. synths, 4 misc (vocoder) via a Behringer X Air X18 audio interface as 1. Main L&R drums, 2. (Aux 1&2) bass, 3. (Aux 3&4) synths and 4. (Aux 5&6) Misc (Vocoder) - See Screengrab. I play one synth on top of the backing tracks and sing vocals. With the introduction of Logic for iPad, I think I can bounce all my tracks down to audio and use that. I would also like to get rid of the Behringer and wondered if a simple Focusrite audio interface would suffice. I'm happy to spend on a higher spec audio interface if there are some controls/separation on the four backing tracks listed above, in case that's needed at a venue. But I dont think I need the full capability of the Behringer anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions on my simplified revised set up please?
  5. Super. Thanks. Hope all's well your end.
  6. Thanks David. That works. I'm just trying to get rid of some reverb lag on the tail end of the audio file. Does shortening remove this the same as a cut would?
  7. Thanks David. That doesn't work. I highlight them all, then go to cut one of them and it just cuts the one I cut. (see attachments).
  8. Could someone kindly remind me of the process for making the same action e.g. shortening on multiple clips at once, rather than shortening them all one by one? Thanks in advance.

    AU Crash

Suddenly getting an AU crash (please see attached screen grab). This is even happening when I have no project open. I've executed all the three disabled, reset, full audio.... actions but it's still happening. Is there a way to establish exactly which AU is causing this? They are all successfully validated in my Plug In Manager. I've also checked that all the plug ins I'm using are up to date. Logic 10.7.7 on a 2021n MacBook Pro 8gb Ventura 13.2.1
  10. Is there a way to prevent a third party downloading your Logic projects, should you have to hand over your Macbook Pro to a front of house sound engineer for operation. He or she would have to be able to load up the projects for performance, but I want to ensure copies cannot be made while I'm not at the Macbook. I know we can password protect them, but that wouldn't work as the engineer would need that to open for performance.
  11. Thanks and yes, will do. I'll have both options available to me on the day. My post was more of a 'what have i got to look forward to in the newest Logic updates' really. I loved the true stereo when it came in, which made a fundamental difference to my projects as I panned certain elements in true stereo. Especially for the kraftwerk show. The demos for the show are here if you like Kraftwerk. these are a couple of months behind the actual current versions, but give an idea
  12. The old one aint gonna make it and loads up real slow. I only really need LPX, Sylenth1, Roland Zenology and the Behringer XAir for now, so should be fine. If not, can bounce it all down to audio on the old and load in the new.
  13. I produce live tribute shows and have my first back to Kraftwerk next weekend at the Green Man festival in the UK Incoming brand new Macbook Pro to replace old 2010 dual core. Considering my shows, any suggestions or recomendations? e.g. Currently using Lexicon PCM reverb bundle for drums, but there's Silicon problems I'm informed (from Lexicon) and the latest LPX must surely have a killer reverb in there?
  14. Have you tried the Coffee or Diamond?
  15. It has a few things going on, with 72v DBS. I was skeptical, but noticed a significant improvement in audio. Yes live work.
