  1. Well, I run a home studio. Been on MBP laptops for the past 15 years. I use mainly Logic VST and plugins, some Arturia. I do my original music, music for dance performances, movies, animation. My latest laptop is a late 2012 MBP with an upgraded SSD. At some point I would like to get into heavier orchestral libraries and so on. I been eyeing used M1 16"32GB RAM laptops but I have no idea how much better are they from the one I have or weaker in performance form the new M3 chip. I havent changed my setup in a long time so I am a bit lost 😄
  2. So what would be the optimal price to performance ratio when it comes to these new MBP laptops? Thanks
  3. I just now realised I am actually aiming for an M3 , not the Pro not the Max. How do these compare in performance? I have read the thread you linked and I what I get is the impression there is a lot of doubt on the core efficiency with the M3 chip?? Right? I am hoping to buy an MBP M3 but still cannot decide how much ram or SSD space to get. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Been watching videos on new MBP's and this came up. Has Apple/Logic addressed this issue? I am looking at getting a new MBPro 14"and I am a bit puzzled by this.
  5. Hi everyone! The external disk I record on died recently. Well actually the electronics in the housing it was in did but nevermind that. That made me realise that I have a lot of folders of samples that I created thru the Sampler. And they were missing without that HD working. Actually I did not even realise I saved them there. Some of them are saved on the internal SSD and some of them ended up on the external HD. I got the HD working and I will be making a switch to a new external SSD drive. I was thinking I put those folders on an internal SSD so I have everything in one place. How do I go about locating and reconnecting these files once I move the content to the main SSD? Thank you Adam
  6. thanks for your reply. Is the M2 twice as powerful as the M1? MBAir looks tempting. Been reading the RME forums and yes it is supposed to work with Sonoma. Regarding Logic. Do I have to purchase it again or I just download the version I bought? Thanks
  7. browsing around and I found this dock https://www.tonerpartner.hr/i-tec-usb-3-1-usb-c-metalna-prikljucna-stanica-za-apple-macbook-pro-power-delivery-74890hr/?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=nabava.net&utm_campaign=nabava.net
  8. Hello everyone! My old laptop Late 2012 MBPro is not cutting it anymore. I am in the process of getting a new laptop. I am a bit lost since I haven't been in the market for one in a loooong time. I am currently looking at an M3 14'' MBP laptop and my questions are: Is this a good choice for the price? Specs and price attached below. My periphery is simple....I guess 😄 3 external HDrives - all USB - one is used for recording RME 802 soundcard currently running on Firewire also has USB A Midi Keyboard, mouse, and typing keyboard - All USB HDMI for the 2nd monitor The drives and the MIDI K, mouse and keyboard are all running off of an USB hub Which docking station would you recommend for this laptop? Taking into account all the periphery I have. I am usually running 2 HD's at the same time. 1 for recording, one for Time Machine backups and 3rd one is just additional backup storage. So all in all... I need 6 - 7 USB ports and a HDMI port. I am guessing docks no longer sport a FWire port? Any suggestions are welcome. I am running Logic X and some Arturia software, nothing complicated. Is M3 an overkill? Thank you Best Adam
  9. yup just figured it out. 😄 thank you Wouldn't it be better to just choose mono? Will it bounce in mono?
  10. I dont see this mono /stereo button tnx
  11. Hi! I am currently recording sounds with 2 contact mics in to my Zoom recorder via Line In input. So stereo is all I get. When I transfer the files I'd love to split that stereo into 2 mono tracks. Is this possible and how? Thank you Best Adam
  12. So my LG Flatron W2224ST crapped out after 14 years (?!?! 😄). I used it as an extension screen for my laptop. I need to get a new monitor but there is so many options and I have no clue what to look for. I could go 27"but seems too much so 24"could be enough. I do not game. It needs to have a VGA connection because that's the adapter I use for thunderbolt. Price wise I would not go over 150eur even that seems like overkill. this one caught my attention https://www.makromikrogrupa.hr/monitor-lcd-27-aoc-27b2h-led-ips-vga-hdmi-75hz https://www.makromikrogrupa.hr/monitor-lcd-24-acer-ka240ybi-full-hd-led-freesync-75hz-vga-hdmi also What would you recommend ? Thanks
  13. yeah tottaly makes sense. Soon as the pan is activated or a plugin added it immediately bounces the track stereo which makes total sense. thanks
