  1. The Beamsonic "tribute" site was awesome! I've tried them out and they work quite well, really add a lot of tonal choices to my Mesa Boogie Express. However, how do I add these IR responses so that they can be found from the regular menu. I know that the impulse response folders can be found at /Library/Application Support/Logic/Impulse Responses/ Do I just add a folder numbered 37 Guitar Speaker Cabs and place them in there?
  2. Hey guys, Do you know of any place where I can find Logic impulse response files of different guitar cabinets like Marshall, Mesa Boogie, etc? I'm running a line out from my Mesa Boogie Express through a Weber Speaker Minimass. So, I've got the poweramp covered but I need to simulate the speaker itself. I know I can do this manually but it would be great to be able to use different cabs to see how they sound. Thanks! Kevin
  3. I'm trying to consolidate all of my audio files into my project folder. For some reason, some of the audio files that are in my song are not in my project folder. I can locate them through the audio window. However, I want to copy all of them into the audio folder in my project directory. The only way I can do this right now is resave as a project under a new location. Is there a way to simply have logic copy all of the used audio files into a pre-exisiting project? Thanks! Kevin
  4. Hi David, Make sure everyone knows that they have to separately register for both the Remix hotel and your Apple seminars. Also, I'm a little confused by the Apple schedule posted: Apple Main Room Thursday 3:00 PM Introduction to Logic Pro 4:00 PM Beats and Breaks using Logic’s Ultrabeat 5:00-7:00 PM Shocklee Inntertainment Panel Series 7:00 PM Photek 8:00 PM DJ Revolution Friday 3:00 PM Introduction to Logic Pro 4:00 PM Beats and Breaks using Logic’s Ultrabeat 5:00 PM Shocklee Inntertainment Panel Series 7:00 PM BT 8:00 PM BT 9:30 PM Exclusive screening of “This Binary Universe” Saturday 3:00 PM Advanced Techniques in Logic Pro 4:00 PM Beats and Breaks using Logic’s Ultrabea t 5:00 PM Shocklee Inntertainment Panel Series 7:00 PM Josh Gabriel 8:00 PM Klayton of Celldweller How does your classes fit in with these? Are you the "Advanced Techniques in Logic Pro"?? or the "Beat and Breaks...."? Or are those separate, open classes to yours? Also, do you know how it will work for the artist appearances? Do you just hang out somewhere and wait--first come first serve--or is there some sign-up? And lastly, do you know if significant others can show up for the evening artist appearances?? I guess I can have her sign up too.... Thanks, Kevin
  5. I would be really intrigued to see Dolby's Logic environment. I thought that when you switched songs, the EXS24 samples are reloaded. Can't see how that would work well live. Kevin
  6. Is it possible to record multiple tracks through a single input? I'm trying to run an input signal through a set of parallel effects on Audio 1 and 2, which are Tracks 1 and 2. However, I can only seem to arm the recording for track 1 or track 2 but not both. The only way it seems that I can arm both tracks is if the inputs or different. Is that just the way Logic works? thanks, Kevin
  7. When sidechaining into Sculpture, how do you determine what element or paramter is being effected? I'm looking Scultpure, but I can't figure it out from the front panel. Thanks! Kevin
  8. They great jazz guitarist John McLaughlin uses Logic all the time. In fact, he is was of the guitarists who uses Logic as his primary "effects" box live! Kevin
  9. Did you give any notice before now? I wasn't expecting it tonight. Dommage. I'm in Boulder right now. I guess I'll make it next month. Is Logic Pro Forum the best venue to announce these things, or perhaps the Lounge? Kevin
  10. I've been able to successfully rewire Logic and Live with Live as a slave. In this case, I can have loops playing from within Live and through Logic's audio channels. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to trigger Live's MIDI from Logic. In particular, is there a way to trigger loops in Live from a MIDI track in Logic? Also, is there any way to get audio *in* to Live through Logic? As far as I can tell, here is the Rewire possibilities with Live and Logic: Audio: Live--> Logic MIDI: Logic --> Live (though I haven't figured out how to do it). However, is it true that Audio: Logic -not possible-> Live MIDI: Live -not possible-> Logic? Thanks for the help, Kevin
  11. Has anyone been able to create a tap tempo setting for Logic that can be controlled with an external MIDI device? The internal tempo requires a key command. Is there a way of to use the environment for that purpose? In other words, if set the MIDI in the keycommands page to respond to a certain CC# for the tap tempo, can I activate it through the environment? I'm trying to get synced delay effects, but I need to set the delay time based on a footswitch. Best, Kevin
  12. Just wanted to say that I was really excited about the opportunity to meet with the Emagic Logic developer's at the Logic User's group last Monday. I want to thank David for going through the herculean effort of putting all of this together. I hope that this forum will allow many of us LA-based Logic users the opportunity to coalesce and exchange ideas. Best, Kevin
  13. I'm trying to use a midi foot controller to select different audio objects or instruments objects in the environment. So, my controller sends out Program Change numbers 1-128 based on the foot switch combinations I use. Using the monitor view object, I can see, for example, P 1 1 or P 1 2. However, I don't know how to route that MIDI information to select the appropriate audio object. In addition, I'd like to be able to arm the track for "record" at the same time. I'm trying to use Logic as a Live guitar effects processor. So, if I can select the audio objects, then I can easily switch patches. Thanks for the help, Kevin
  14. One thing that is unclear is how well the Novation 25SL will communicate with Logic, particularly compared with LCXmu. For example, will you be able to access all of the synth parameters with the SL? To be sure, I think this is going to be one cool keyboard. Not sure when it is going to be released. However, I do think the standard REMOTE will be around, but at a lower price point. Kevin That's yesterday's news man.
