The problem was resolved by going to advanced tools under preferences and enabling all. Then my menu options appeared again as before..

The pack take folder under the functions menu and when cntrl clicking on selected tracks has gone missing. Actually can’t find any of the take folder functions. Has this moved somewhere? I am using 10.6.2 on Big Sur 11.1. Thanks.

The beat divisions in the timeline are so faint it is destroying my eyes trying to discern it. I tried using :bright background: in the display menu but it didn't change anything. Any help much appreciated. Logic 10.6.2 on a 2015 MacBook Pro 15 inch screen. Also both of my midi keyboards are constantly generating random midi information when I try to record anything via USB. I've tired all the solutions I could find online and nothing has worked. After working with Logic for about 20 years I am considering abandoning the platform. Right now the above problems have brought all my projects to a complete halt. I have an m-audio key station 49 and a novation 81SL. These are pretty common midi devices I can't believe neither of them work with Logic. It took a long time to decide to move on from Logic 9 and after the upgrade my productivity has ground to a halt. I'd appreciate so much if someone can help me sort this out. Thanks.

I have had that problem for a long time. I just close logic and reopen it and it fixes the problem for a month or two. i know the sound you are talking about. it's like everything is coming out of a tin can full of thumbtacks.

I just found this on another forum...restart fixed his problem but restart didn't work for me: Hi there, I've recently updated my logicexpress 7 with logic express 9 and I have troubles getting the pan control in the mixer to "pan" ... is working more like a volume knob than a proper panning control and audio files DO NOT move from one side to the other. They just get weaker or louder in sound... anybody know how to solve this thing? Thank you!

FYI-I did try shutting down logic and restarting my computer

Thanks David I tried as you suggested. if create a new project and upload an apple loop it still does the same thing my left speaker is producing the same sound as my right speaker at the same volume its just like my pan control is now a volume control and there in no pan information playing back

Yes that is still the case, to qualify: if I pan all the way left there is no sound, when I pan right the volume is maximum...when i am not panned all the way left and I hear sound, all the sound that comes through is straight down the middle.

thanks David for the quick reply I did this Universal Track Mode was already selected I unselected and reselected but i am still having the problem pan still controls volume and i only get sound straight down the middle nothing left or right

Suddenly all the tracks in every project file on my hard drive I've tested have lost all stereo information.... and the pan automation/controls now controls the volume instead of the pan. Moving the pan knob also controls the volume not the pan. I went to bed last night and everything was working fine. The crazy part is the signal visually is playing through the left or right channel if I look at the metering when I pan but the sound stays in the middle and only gets louder or softer...panning all the way left all the sound disappears, panning all the way right, the volume is maximum. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

This may be an amateur question: My marker lane in the global tracks section keeps disappearing. I don't know how it's happening and once it's gone I can't figure out how to get it back. Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
