G-force

Hi. I'm fairly new to Logic. In fact I'm just trying to get through the Tutorial Song before I dive into my own work. I can't seem to get the solo tool to work properly. When I click hold a region with the solo tool selected the track moves along as if playing back and the meters show activity, but I get no sound. When I use the solo button on the Transport window, everything works just fine. Please, help!! Thanks
