  1. No need to install drivers to make the firepod working on your computer. Core Audio should recognise it. Disconnect all firewire devices from your mac. Then connect only the firepod. Go to your audio- midi configuration and look if it pops up in the list. if so, your done If not: Use another firewire cable, maybe it is broken. Or try another firewire input on your mac. Sometimes my firepod doesn't get connection from the first time with my mac. so I restart both. That usually works. edit: That fiewire port is that something like a firewire hub? If so, try connecting direct to your mac. I hope to have helped you a bit. Jesse
  2. In your mixer window select both channels. Then move the fader on one of them. (this is a soft group) If you want those channels to be linked more permanent. 1. select both (or more) channels, click on the big rectangle just above the fader and select a group. In both these methodes the faders etc wil move together. I hope this helped you.
  3. Copy those songs to your hardrive. A CD/DVD drive is just to slow. (IMHO)
  4. Hi fader8 thanks for the info. In the meantime I have read the pdf manual that I found online and noticed there are any pan knobs. Anyway knobs I could use to asign panning to. Think I'll have to look arround more for a control surface. Also thanks for offering the environment layer. But since I'm not gonna buy the mixer I won't need it.
  5. Maybe a silly question but can it? I mean using it like a Mackie control or a Behringer BCF2000 etc... And if it is possible, how difficult is it to configure? (I asume it will not be plug and play ) Thanks!
  6. Thanks I allready have those video's (and like them a lot, but one can never learn to much that's why I want more 8) )
  7. Thanks for pre-ordering my book! I think you'll like it for that reason: it comes with actual sessions for you to record, edit, arrange, mix, automate... I also included some final professional session files with tons of tracks, editing, mixing and automation going on so people who want to go further can open them and analyze them or experiment with them. David, thanks, I can't wait!
  8. Hi all, I like the songs that came with logic8, learned a lot from them. So I was wondering, are there any lessons where someone teach logic while actually creating a song? So that people like me (amateurs) learn about recording, logic and songwriting. I allready have the macprovideo lessons and ordered David's new book. anyway, I mean something like video lessons that gives a look on how things are recorded, arranged, mixed and mastered. And with actual files to try it yourself. (am I asking to much? ) thanks!
  9. Hmm... I get a " We're sorry, this event is no longer available." screen.
  10. I downloaded the Guitar Rig demo from NI. I must say that it sounds A LOT better than GAP. More alive. (using the same preamp/interface and monitors)
  11. Someone trying to teach people how to punch in and out in Logic? Hi David, If you ever again need a guitarist that makes mistakes just pm me. I'm good at that
