  1. It seems to be when I move my mouse around the screen while the loop is playing, sometimes if I switch windows it does this..
  2. I've recorded a short 4 bar loop of me playing the piano, this small piece has the sustain pedal depressed for the entire 4 bars. I can see in the list editor that there is a CC64 = 127 message right at the beginning of the bar but randomly during playback, Logic will decide to release the sustain pedal. It happens at different points throughout the loop and doesn't seem to be linked with anything, it's certainly not a message anywhere in the loop or anywhere else for that matter. Is this a bug?
  3. Nevermind, Logic had 'magically' removed any audio input devices for some reason. Seriously, there's an animal in this software that nobody can please.
  4. Uhh.. guys? Where did the input menu go in Logic 9? Mr. Help says it's there. The actual window suggests something is amiss. http://upload.eggwee.co.uk/public/Screen%20Shot%202011-08-27%20at%2015.10.45.png
  5. Really liking this, It's sort of a raw Flying Lotus if you get what I mean.. I think you should start tearing into your Ultrabeat patches though, to the trained ear we can hear you're using stock patches
  6. Ahaaa... nice one .. You learn something new every day eh? I must have bashed "M" at some point. Cheers.
  7. Hi, weird problem. I opened logic today to find that one of my MIDI arrangement tracks was muted. The track itself wasn't muted and nothing was solo'd. If I selected the track and hit a key on my midi keyboard, the synth would play, however anything already in the MIDI arrangement would not play at all.. Here's a screenshot: http://upload.eggwee.co.uk/public/Screen%20shot%202010-01-30%20at%2014.15.26.png Anyone got any ideas what I've done? Cheers.
  8. With Event 47, Do you have to add a new event for each byte of info? .. glerg.
  9. Cheers for that Yea, basically it's an old AKAI SG01v which is daisy chained from the THRU port on the Korg EA-1. The Korg receives channels 1 and 2 only, the AKAI accepts channels 1-16 without an option on the panel to turn off the reception. The message I need to send is $F0 $47 $10 $42 $5D(AKAI) $40 $1r $02 $vv r = part number (1-16) vv = reception channel (1-16 with anything over 16 being 'disable') I've figured out you can simply enter that, over writing the "Ch" "Num" and "Val" fields, but it's not easy, if there's a value already in there, you have to drag it to $00 before you can double click and enter data. And yes, I've run out of MIDI ports
  10. It sounds like you may have more luck with SysEx Librarian (http://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/) I use this for bulk dump storage from my EA-1 and MC-303, neither of them would accept the bulk dump back from a 'playback' of the sysex dump in logic or cubase, but both work just fine with Sysex librarian.
  11. Hi, I'm having a real issue with entering specific SysEx data into Logic. What I want to do: Send a message + checksum to a synth to tell it to stop listening on channels 1 and 2. I can place the data into the list editor, but there's no option to checksum it like there is in the environment editor. I don't particularly want to have to manually work out the checksum for the last bit on every message. I can do this in the Environment window but not the List editor, it's pretty annoying. Why can't entering sysex be as simple as creating an event, bashing in the hex and pressing enter?
  12. sorted, I just bashed "S" a couple of times and everything sprang back into life. I must have had a hidden track like Prelisten solo'd that I couldn't see. Thanks for your help anyway guys.
  13. yes, two aux returns for l/r + 3/4, but they're not solo'd
  14. I have a bunch of software instrument/midi tracks in logic, none of them are solo'd are muted in the arrange window and none of them are solo'd or muted in the mixer window.. They all have note data in them but none of them play bar one midi track to ReWire/Reason.. What gives? I can play the tracks on an input device such as a keyboard fine but nothing recorded plays..
  15. Hi there, I have an ultrabeat synth assigned to one stereo output. Without saving the patch, deleting the track (and it's settings) and creating a new ultrabeat track with multi-output, is there way I can convert the stereo track ouput to a multi output easily? - Squeebz
