  1. Anyone figure this out? Having same issue with same kit.
  2. I second what ro-ja wrote. Treat the concert level as your set. Treat your sets as your songs (this is where you would set up your loopback or other effects that need to stay during an entire song). Treat your song patches as parts to the song. Seems to be a fundamental issue with how to name things when it comes to complicated setups.
  3. The answer to your problem is that the send to Aux 2 in the send of Aux 1 is what is creating your issue. That is creating a possible infinite loop. While you're not actually using it. It could be based on the way MainStage does routing, which is slightly different from Logic.
  4. Are you using a different sample rate? There is an issue with Logic in that the Amp sims output different volume levels based on what sample rate you're using. Is it possible that is what is happening?
  5. I'm wondering why you want your buffer to be that large? As someone who runs a much older MacBook Pro with an Apollo twin duo at 44.1 I can generally run it at a 64 or 128 buffer utilizing some pretty complex setups with multiple channel strips and a plethora of plugins per part with no issues. With a newer laptop like yours I would think you could get away with running at least a 64 buffer at 44.1. For performing live, I have a separate user setup that specifically for live use. That only runs MainStage and Console. Nothing else.
  6. I think it has more to do with certain functionality in Logic now. I'm guessing that the OSpatch (the hackintosh fix) isn't fooling Logic and whatever check of the system it might be employing. You mention Mojave not having the issue. That could be because your machine is apparently compatible with that macOS without a hack.
  7. I just found this: Mac Pro (Late 2013, plus mid-2010 and mid-2012 models with recommended Metal-capable GPU) ** Mojave is listed as the last macOS compatible with a mid-2012. This might be the reason. Thus I'm surprised you were able to upgrade to Catalina, as the machine you mention is not listed as compatible with that macOS.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a 2012 Mac Pro the old Cheese Grater style? If so, that would imply you're running a Hackintosh to get it to run past High Sierra. At least that's what I remember when I was running a similar setup before it died. Mine wouldn't run logic without a graphics card that was "approved" at least, I think that was my issue at the time. At this point, you might be better served upgrading to a newer machine (M-chip) as even the 2013 cylinder Mac Pro will be EOL next year and the last official macOS for it is Monterey - might be able to find one pretty cheap right now. Current MacBook Pro laptops with the M-Chip Pro are more efficient than the 2013 Mac Pro as I recently did a side by side with a buddy. If you're like me, you're probably waiting for the M-Chip Mac Pro.
  9. This bug is still present in 10.6.1. Been testing a setup for over the internet recording and have been attempting to figure out sync/clock issues. Initially thought it could be tied to the looping thing, but now believe it's literally a tempo issue in Logic. That being typed... I did a looping exploration and found in 10.6.1 these are the tempos that Loop without issues: 224, 210, 200, 192, 180, 175, 168, 160, 150, 144, 135, 132, 128, 125, 120, 108, 100, 96, 90, 84, 80, 75, 72, 64, 60, 50, 48, 45, 40, 36, 32, 30, 25, 24, 20, 18, 16, 15, 12, 10, 9, 8, 6, 5 Any other tempo without a workaround as noted in an earlier post - will not loop perfectly. Can anyone see the math pattern? I can't. This is specifically audio related. Sample rate does not matter. This only affects audio regions as MIDI regions now loop at perfect at any tempo.
  10. Pretty much all of them. But this is coming from someone who purchased everything when it was Emagic. That was an expensive time to be a Logic user who had the entire suite. The tremolo plugin is something that works really well. Space Designer. Stereo Delay. EQ, channel & linear. the multi efx. et al.
  11. Never mind, I figured out that I had some how shut off the import dialog messages. Resetting them brought it back and works as intended.
  12. I seem to recall that Logic can import BWF which usually throws a message asking to import tempo and markers. For some reason, this is no longer happening for me in Logic 10.5.1 and Catalina 10.15.7. Can anyone else confirm that I'm not seeing correct behavior? If so, how do I get that behavior back?
  13. Catalina does not support 32bit plugins - that includes plugins via 32Lives. If it did, I have some I'd likely still be running, but nope. If you're in dire need of old plugins then stick with Mojave for the time being. With Mojave, you can run 32Lives which should run your old plugins in the new version of Logic.
  14. Hi David, yes, one can input a value by double clicking, but as stated above, you can't control the width that way - and that is the primary reason to use the stereo balance is for the width capability. I also find it random, but most often it's happening immediately after I create a new channel strip (often next to the channel strip with the stereo balancer). Once that happens, I generally have to quit out of Logic and start it back up again. That can solve the issue of a frozen balancer, but not 100% effective as sometimes it doesn't work. Other times I just move on from trying and go work on another part of a mix and sometimes it will just unfreeze itself. So yeah, it's kinda random. I've tried to purposely go recreate it so that I can show some particular action that causes it to happen so I can capture it in video - then it refuses to freeze. Which is extremely frustrating. But good to know I'm not the only one seeing it. Though it seems amongst most of my friends I seem to be the only one who tends to use the stereo balance version of the pan knob.
  15. Anyone else use the Stereo Balance knob and find that it will sometimes freeze up after making a new channel strip and then won't be able to pan anything?
