  1. Pretty old thread, but maybe someone can still give some insight. When I enable host automation in Trillian to a parameter, it changes to 'host automation ID: 8' or what have you. If I set Logic to 'touch' or 'latch' the assigned parameter writes no automation. In the Logic automation drop down, Trillian does not show up at all. I'm assuming Trillian automation is no longer compatible with the updated version of Logic? Thx.
  2. That is the answer I was hoping for...not necessarily compressors, but all of it....I would have just summed it all and hardened the compressor, EQ etc. Thank you!....I actually dig that song...how do you give the track icons different colors?....prob a ? for a different thread, but always upset about them limiting the color option in general.
  3. So it's stacked like 10 times with different takes...with each channel with the exact same plugs with the exact same settings...wondering why that is better than sending them all to a single bus dry with the same plugs and settings? Not overloading the plugs?

  5. Just occurred to me, but HP/LP filters have settings such as 6 db/octave, 12 db/octave etc. The octaves change logarithmically (right) as you move up the frequency band yet the slopes of the filters remain constant. I'm wondering what the standard is for the hard filter settings. I imagine it is 20 db as the slopes on the filters are gradual and then it is just reversed for the LPF's?
  6. I used to do it a bunch in 9 (believe in the audio bin) and the option was still there when X came out, but never worked. I am wondering 2 things: if it works now through all the updates and also how to do it since its been a while and have totally forgotten. Thx
  7. I'm letting you know. Haha...dumb...hadn't tried it in a while and created a inst. rather than multi...thx.
  8. It looks like multi instrument in the environment is different now. rather than having a single multi in the environment with a bank of 16 to uncheck, you now need to create a new instrument for each voice. If that is untrue, please let me know.
  9. sorry...I'm on Logic 10.3.2...will update signature
  10. Is anyone else experiencing Logic freezing when attempting to change the gain of an audio file? I actually have not had to do it in a while, so not sure if it's due to the most recent update, but super annoying non-the-less. thx
  11. Currently some users are plagued by "scrolling glitches", especially when running Logic on a Retina iMac. Take a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=129972 BTW, I seem to have the same iMac model like you - and are getting the same scrolling glitches. Please report the issue to Apple, too: https://support.apple.com/de-de/logic-pro Low res mode works really well so far...will contact apple...thanks!
  12. Thanks man...let me run down the list: Latency is standard...haven't touched it. Drivers are current. I'm recording to the system...but it happens when I'm not recording...If I scroll through the arrange page when everything is on (just listening), I get a bunch of glitch. I restarted numerous times. I have one new Glyph drive storing samples...I m not playing any of them. Not sure on sleep settings...Don't think it is an issue, internal or external. Processing threads are automatic. I have a UA satellite daisy chained on the Apollo (Not sure I can give you a deal, but have a friend @ Sweetwater I can hook you up with to talk...they have a few payment plans). I have not contacted UA, U think that is the issue rather than the comp? Thx.
  13. the brighter bar on the CPU usage meter is close to 20% yet the other darker bars it moves around on are always close to maxed out...not really sure the difference between the two either.
  14. has anyone else experienced this?
