  1. Yes. Sustain pedal. This is what the mfgs of these controllers all suggest, but I haven’t seen much at all from them of documentation. I tried another but same response. I put MidiMonitor on it today, but it was consistent messages. 0 on, 127 off. Problem is I don’t know what to look for, not that familiar with the midi coding... To review, I can hit play on my device or keyboard, then press and hold the pedal for punch in, release for punch out.
  2. Thanks David, but that doesn't work. In fact it renders Logic unusable, I can't select anything, close the controller window or anything else. I can only quit and reopen Logic.
  3. A kindly bump! I Really hope I can get this working. (I just wish companies would include comprehensive info to learn from)
  4. Well, that's encouraging! It took care of the repetitions, but using Record Toggle it only stays in record while I press the pedal. Let go and its out of record. Do you know how it could be two seperate actions, punch in/punch out? Thanks!
  5. I have a Behringer X Touch One and have been trying to change the function of the footswitch from play and stop to punch in/punch out (Record Toggle). What I've done is go to Controller Assignments, select Control Surface MCU, select User Switch A (there is no Switch B on the XTouch), select Record Toggle for the command, then perform the learn mode which then says this command exists elsewhere and I select keep both. Back in Logic when I step on the pedal it goes into record mode but then rapidly goes from record to stop and over and over again. The only way I can stop it is to unplug the footswitch. BTW, when I first tried to use the pedal to play and stop, It did the same thing. I think I'm close but don't have the knowledge to be able to solve this problem. Any help to push me over this hump would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Awesome, thanks. I'll be downloading shortly and dive in!
  7. Hey Peter! Congrats on this, it sounds fantastic and a godsend for the likes of me! I look forward to playing with this, just wish I heard about it sooner! (I've been in the "woods" for awhile) Is there a script or template for LASS? Or is that something I need to build? Awesome brain you have
  8. I'll second that with a notice from Nektar for Panorama controllers. NEKTAR PANORAMA & OS X 10.11 COMPATIBILITY Apple are releasing OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) on September 30. We have found some issues during the process of testing Panorama with the latest beta version of OS X 10.11 that we currently are working on resolving. Panorama of course will be compatible with OS X 10.11 but an update to Panorama software will most likely be required. We therefore recommend that you initially postpone updating to OS X 10.11 on any computer that you need to work with Panorama. We expect to have completed all testing and needed revisions to our software, within the next 2 weeks. Nektar Impact products have already been tested and verified to work with OS X 10.11
  9. No. Ya, Logic and SMPTE have problems, which sucks because they broke it. it was working, now not. For me it's no longer being able to enter Movie Start times unless you have a movie loaded in the session. Not good for external video sync. Been sending reports, no love yet.
  10. It appears that you're no longer able to enter an offset in Project Settings/Movie/Position without first loading a movie into the project! I use an external program (Videoslave) to sync to so I have no need to load directly into Logic. It's now just an extra thing to do and a PITA, you used to be able to do this, but now it's broken. Can someone please confirm this behavior? Thanks
  11. I had a similar, possibly related issue with this. If not it may be something similar, try Googling the exact error messages you get. First, open Activity Monitor in Utilities, click on the memory tab. Scroll down to see if there are any items in red, namely "coreaudiod", identityservicesd" and "callsevicesd" all saying not responding. If so this is what I did after finding this via Google: Go to Audio Midi Setup and look in the audio devices, there was a DigiCoreAudio device, usually there if you had installed pro tools on your system at some point. If so, find Digidesign CoreAudio.plugin in the following path: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL. Delete the plug in and move it to the trash. This also solved another issue where the dock remaind when I Shut Down my Mac, which terminates the shut down process and I had to force shut down. Hope this helps.
  12. When in piano roll and selecting groups of notes, and I try to manually slide them earlier they snap back. If I pick just one note it will stay where I drag it. Track Quantization is off BTW. Any thoughts/ideas?
