Hello I have define a concert with 2 x kbd that has 4 x layers each The volume of those 8 x layers will be controlled by an externat controller Now for each song I want to define the sound that they will use The manual says you can "Override concert-" : - In the Channel Strip Inspector, select the Layer Editor. - Select the “Override parent ranges” checkbox. - The “Override parent ranges” checkbox is available only if there is a concert- or set-level channel strip. This does not work, to get the check box you have a little box under the ^ arrow and the down arrow So I have manage to check the boxes, but it does not do what it should do. Say at the concert level I have: - layer "exs24" and " sculpture" If for the patch one I set other instruments, the concert level is changed If for the patch two I set other instruments, patch one AND the concert level are changed Why do I want to use this : I want to be able to control all the instruments level from an external midi controller

Hello I am also very interested of this possibility to develop the equivalent of the VST expression Map to drive VSL articulation changes I have read that the score have been re-wrote ! is this true ? Reading the manual I did not find that it was possible to convert score events (staccato, legato ...) into a midi command to be send to VSL Also you cannot work on note length. Looks like you cannot do more that what you can do with the environment ! I hope I am wrong and that this is missing in the manual Best Cyril

I have an 8 core 3 ghz Macpro 16 MB I am using IAC I have loaded 84 instruments with all there articulations in a VE pro ensemble I route the 40 audio from the VE pro ensemble back in Logic (20 stereo) using ADAT OUT/IN of my Motu The effect are applied on the 20 stereo track in Logic Load is 50/60 % playing a full orchestra playing From the new world of Anton Dvorak In Logic it show I am only using the 8th proc but it is playing ok if I set the I/O buffer size to 1024 Best Cyril

Did you notice that LP 8 is now "unlock" MY Quad G5 is playing a full orchestra with K2 and QLSO Platinum
