  1. Well, there ya go! That's very cool... didn't know that one was there.
  2. I think I know what des99 is talking about. I experience this too. It's not about going to edges etc, it's like you have the region or note where you'd like it and you release the mouse and it jumps slightly off from where you wanted it. Drives me bonkers.
  3. Sonoma (now 14.1.2) has without a doubt been the most stable, rock solid and efficient OS since purchasing the M1 Studio Ultra when it first came out. BTW, Oscwilde, I'm curious to know what Waves plugs are giving you issues. But so far, i've not found anything that doesn't work in Sonoma, that didn't work in BigSur and Ventura.
  4. Are you sure there are not doubled notes? Do you have input quantisation turned on? If so, the doubled notes would be all lined up on top of each other.
  5. I'm pretty sure this has been discussed previously, but was unable to find the thread and the solution. But when dragging a note or a region in an editor, you may see a bit of small window scrolling that just seems to happen as you let go of the held object you are trying to move or copy, etc. The result being that your object or your note ends up in the wrong place ever so slightly. Does that make sense? It seems to get me more often than not when I'm doing some fine tuning here and there. And there on, does anyone have a solution? Cheers Matt
  6. Was hoping ... but wouldn't it be great if we could have the graphic representation and multitouch control of these amazing plugins on the iPad Logic Remote app. (Like they work in the iPad version of Logic). I was pretty disappointed to see that they came up in the "controls" page mode. Maybe in the future.
  7. Yeah, that was one of the first things I investigates, on your EDIT suggestion. Unfortunately, nothing changed. Also, I don't think the environment is going anywhere.. It's an amazing bit of infrastructure and has been around since day dot. It is also part of the backbone of everything being interconnected. Yes, it can be dangerous and is not for the faint of heart when getting into the complexities, hence why I am guessing they hid it somewhat in more recent versions. It's a powerful beast that can run all manner of things from the simple, to packages of sysex scary stuff.
  8. Yeah, that sounds legit. They may have also been unaware of how many VI's (and MIDIFX for that matter) actually transmit midi data. I guess it's a "watch this space" moment.
  9. Whole lot of action right there! I still can't believe that Apple Devs didn't consult with VI devs that this was going to happen. Surely a bunch of the VI devs are actually Logic beta testers too?
  10. Aargh..I'm making this sound too confusing. If I get a chance tonight I'll make a quick video.
  11. You have to start without the option key and add it once you see the "v" tool...
  12. Yeah David, I mean the actual notes in the Piano roll, using the velocity tool.
  13. You can still compress if you add the option key to the (Control + Command) Velocity tool on the selection of notes. (Checked just now).
  14. Yeah, the irony is that we've been asking for this capability for years, but they didn't tell the VI devs that it was going to happen. So, no one has had a chance to work it into their VI's so that it would be either, not both.
