  1. Television standards for sound? That's what you can currently hear on TV I would presume. Very general question though. To be able to mix like they do for media you have to listen to a lot of media music/sound and try to match that.
  2. Hi there! I recommend all the plugins that come with Logic 8. EXS24, ES2, ZZZ especially
  3. I render midi to audio very early in the process, usually as soon as I am happy with my midi sequences.
  4. They are selected bits from VSL I suppose. Not as good as full library isn't it.
  5. Audacity's tone generator maybe? It's not a plugin though but it's free
  6. I have no idea to be honest but recommend http://www.opuslocus.com/logic/ for autosave script. It may help you to avoid loosing your precious work in the future.
  7. Hi I hope I may be of any help. Have you tried experimenting with sampler preferences settings? Changing read root key from filename/file to filename only may help, providing you have correctly named sample files. File naming conventions are very well explained on page 447 of Logic's Instrument and Effects manual.
  8. why not just place that wheel on the touch screen and save some space
  9. I record directly into Logic through Soundflower.
  10. Three layered ES2 synths effected and EQ'd to taste, then bounced sliced and loaded up into EXS24. Filtered and sequenced.
