  1. Only requires Monterey for the improvements to spatial audio. Otherwise Big Sur ok.
  2. As was Cubase initially. But it doesn't have this weird behaviour. Is it really beyond their capabilities to have an option in the preferences to conform cutting regions to the grid, and thus keeping loops and repeats in time? Such an obtuse anomaly which is impractical.
  3. Well, that might be the technical explanation, but it doesn't explain why other DAWs don't do this. Or why they can't do a simple workaround which keeps the division to the bar lines when required.
  4. Yes, this bug has been around for years. Praise be to the person who figured out it is tied to certain bpm's. I don't understand why this has never been fixed.
  5. No, it will always play from the start of the marquee if that is what you want, and set it thus.
  6. The obvious question to ask would be: will Logic record from other sources, e.g. internal mic. If so, then you know it is an RME issue. Or indeed - will any other app record from the Babyface?
  7. I don't bother with all that Terminal geekery. Just use this app to install a routine to create them. It then gives you a menu item when you right click on the folder and creates one. Simples. https://lifehacker.com/macos-app-of-the-week-symboliclinker-1824289156
  8. What are you smoking?
  9. Izotope RX will do it for you. Download the demo and use that.
  10. fisherking, this was confirmed as a bug 4 years ago by the mods here. viewtopic.php?f=42&t=119464&hilit=Audio+Regions+moving+when+cutting+%5BBUG%5D Very disheartening that it is still lurking, and makes certain workflows impossible, particularly if you want to cut and paste audio and expect new regions to be cut and pasted accurately.
  11. Yes, they usually go back a couple of OS's. But i do think they will make obsolete the old Mac Pro's, which has been coming anyway.
  12. I'm not particularly surprised at the price. this thing is really aimed at visual developers - video, cinema and games people who need a lot of horsepower and will pay for it. And Hans Zimmer wannabes. For the rest of us who don't plan using a thousand tracks and three orchestras, you can work fine with a decently priced iMac. A souped up Mac Mini would be good - i.e. iMac without the screen - and better spec'd than the most recent one.
  13. Haha, no, just a word of caution. I'm very glad they have back to a classic design. Just reckoning on the cost to my pocket.
  14. Ok, base price $6k. Rack version available too.
  15. Yes, folks, it's for the new Mac Pro which looks for all the world like...an old Mac Pro, cheese grater style, with PCIe slots and all. What a lot of people have been wanting, with that kind of configurability, although at what cost it might make your eyes water I reckon. And what's the bet that the new OS and possibly new Logic won't run on those old Mac Pros that a massive amount of people still use.
