Hi Darude. I'm sorry to say that Ableton where absolutely hopeless, I have just got a reply, exactly six days after I contacted them. I could't post on the forum either due to another problem. The Berlin phone line wasn't working either. It's a big shame as I chose Push 2 over other 'live' devices and am pretty disappointed to be honest. I was on a deadline, so in the end I did a full OS re install and that cleared out the problem. RME were great, it wasn't a driver issue. Thanks very much for your post's.

Hi again guys. Sorry to bang on about this problem, but as I am getting zero help from Ableton I just wanted to check something with you if you have time. I solved the problem by re installing the OS. It's working fine now but I am unsure about installing the drivers for my sound card. I will need to do this of course, but do you think I should get in touch with RME to see if there is a conflict? (can't see anything online) Its a Fireface UCX 400 sound card. Thanks for post. I will need the drivers as I need to use the Fireface as my audio card. But what I am now going to try is to upgrade to OS High Sierra. As it is a brand new MacBook I reckon this is the best way to 'start again' and work out what went wrong.

I have tried the forum, calling them (no answer) I have one email telling me to un install and re install. I'll give it one more day then I think I'll frisbee the disc out to sea and try another platform.

Can anyone here help me with an Ableton Live 9 question? I have just downloaded an update for Live 9 as I have just bought a Push 2. It worked for a bit, but then I downloaded my Fireface UCX driver and Live will not open, I just get the beach ball. I have de selected the driver in ac Prefs but it still won't open. Hello all, I have been writing tracks using drummer to create my drum tracks. I have been using the basic windows to choose my drummer, drum kit etc and the wheel to make is simpler, harder etc I have somehow just stumbled across a section of the drum track in piano mode, therefore allowing me to write and move specific hits. Rather than simply the window with the dot to move around and the little drum image to choose hi hats, cymbals etc, it's a full window of midi notes, allowing me to be more specific with hits and quantise etc. Sorry, probably a daft question I just can't see how it was activated. Hi All, I have been using Music Memo on my i pad to sketch out songs, the bass player on this app is suprisingly good. Can anyone recomend a similar plug in for Logic? an upright bass player? Thank you in advance, Dan.

I have made loads of music using outboard synths, Studio Electronics mainly, SEq1, Omege 8, and until recently I used the Motu 896 HD. For me it is the best way of making electronic music, the signal pre Logic and post is so close it's a dream. I always use a mixer, currently a Macki 1202 and a valve compressor, TLA Ivory. By pushing the level on the compressor and a slight bit of bass on the mixer the sound is awesome going in. Not sure if that helps, but we have similar set ups, so thought it may be of use. Dan.

Hi Guys, I am looking to get the latest Ableton Live up and running. I have a new Mac 10.10.5 and an as yet un installed Ableton Live 8 on DVD. Can anyone please help me on how to do this? Should I buy an external dvd drive to install version 8 (new mac's have no cd/dvd drive) then upgrade, or is there another way? Any help would be great, Cheers, Dan.

Hi guys, I had this issue a few weeks ago and I am having problems resolving it. I have upgraded to Logic Pro X from 9. When I open the software, it scans the audio units and gets stuck. I have to abort scanning to open the software. When the program is open it works fine, but my NI plug ins are not there, Battery etc. Any help would be great. Thanks, Dan.
