Hi there, I have got myself into a little state by trying to re partition my drive. I inserted the OSX disc and made it the start up disc but I now get the grey screen everytime. Is there a key to press that makes the machine boot up from the normal system bypassing the start-up disc that I've inserted. And when partioning what is the best partion for the audio? Partion 1 or 3 as I will set up 3 partitions. any help would be well appreciated

Are there many people out there finding the SL working well with Logic 7.1.1. I must confess to not having read the manual much but am not finding things that simple. I thought it would automatically pick up my Albino synth but it doesn't seem to. Any comments

No problems with battery 2 in 7.1.1 either. I use it all the time, should try and work with Ultrabeat more but I always go to Battery.

Thanks for the info, it sounds like Express is a good solution. I'll run the backing in Express and then trigger samples from a different machine using Live. I am paranoid about the backing jumping in Live so feel safer with it running on it's own.

I'm contemplating running backing tracks (up to 5) from my G4 laptop through a Firebox using Logic Express. I keep forgeting the key from Pro and am worried that I'll lose it one day, is Express as reliable/stable as Pro. Does anyone have good words for Express... Help would be well appreciated

I've just spent the last 4 months moving from Cubase to the world of Logic and in general things have been good and I wouldn't return. We've put together several tracks at http://www.sub-fusion.com and would really appreciate people's feedback. There are hints of the Sneaker Pimps, Leftfield maybe but it's hard to define your own stuff. Any comments good or bad are welcome
