  1. If you disable Catch mode and deselect the Catch settings then the display should stay put:
  2. That does look wrong. 😞 I tried to reproduce that same routing here in 10.8.1 and could not reproduce the unexpected muting of upstream tracks when soloing the mix bus. Are you experiencing this in 10.8.1?
  3. Also @Alex Saheli double-check that you do not have Varispeed enabled on this project? It may not visible until you click the down arrow at the right in the LCD display to choose the 'Custom' display:
  4. Alright! Good to hear you ended up finding the culprit. Thanks for letting us know. 🙂
  5. It works as long as you place the tip of the arrow of your Pointer tool on top of a line (any line) before you start dragging.
  6. Do you open the project in 10.8.1 or do you import it into a new empty project? If you open it, do you see a dialog that explains that a new project has to be built?
  7. Yes, that would be amazing! Crossing fingers! 🙂
  8. Yes, definitely. Just like babies learn to talk by imitating their parents or other people around them, we as artist learn to write by imitating artists we look up to. You discover a lot while trying to recreate either a drum beat, a synth riff, a melody, a chord progression etc. I remember when I started writing songs, I could come up with a verse and a chorus and quickly I got stuck. What do I do? Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Chorus? That's a bit boring? Then I started really listening to song's arrangements and even carefully picking them apart to tell how they could keep the song evolving while keeping it interesting throughout the entire song. Here's an example of an arrangement analysis I did a while back:
  9. No, you would have to first stretch the MIDI region or use Time Handles to stretch the timing of the notes.
  10. Ok so before we go any further, let's figure out if your controller sends polyphonic aftertouch or channel pressure? In Logic's LCD Display, on the right, click the little down arrow symbol and choose Custom. Now play a key and press on it and take a screenshot (Command + Shift + 3) of the MIDI input display so that we can see the type of data being sent:
  11. @Bowman I've replied to your report by private message, click the little mail icon at the top right of this site to read your private messages. Thank you!
  12. No, unfortunately, you can't customize Smart Controls layouts. I really hope that in the future we'll be able to completely customize layouts, that would be a great addition to this feature! Only in some layouts, by entering your label text in the inspector: To change the master layout, choose Track > Show Output Track, select the Stereo Out track, and change its Track layout. It will show the Master only if the selected track's output is set to Stereo Out. Otherwise it displays the Smart Controls for the Aux that the track is routed to.
  13. @JakobP I'm having a reverse groundhog day experience here. Shouldn't the panning be visible on the source channel meters too, like below — as you pointed out yourself last year in the thread linked below?
  14. Can you attach a copy of the project with zero plug-ins in the Mixer and with the latency so that one of us can give it a try?
