David Nahmani's Achievements

  1. Some instruments have some kind of randomness built in, for example to trigger different samples in order to avoid the machine gun effect. If you can, share an example of a project that does that, and indicate the track and bar number, so one of us can have a look.
  2. I tested this here in Logic 10.8.1 and while the status of the R-enable button is indeed lost, the MIDI In Port and the MIDI In Channel parameters are retained. If you don't need to record the jam, then you could use the MIDI Environment to cable the Physical Input triangles corresponding to your controllers directly to their respective software instrument channel strips.
  3. Find the following line... case embellishments.indexOf("Snare Roll 1") : createRoll(34, 38, 6, 26, event.velocity, event.velocity / 1.3, 1); break; // roll 1 ...and change the 3rd value (here, a '6'), which represents the number of strokes in the roll.
  4. In that case you'd have to press Tab to select the search field, then esc twice.
  5. If the search field if selected, press esc twice. Otherwise, press Option + K twice.
  6. I have never experienced that. Was the project saved after you move the project end marker to bar 256? Is this an issue you can reproduce consistently?
  7. Make sure you Select the desired track, Select only the regions you want to copy, Press Command-C to copy them, Select all the regions on the track including all the regions to the right of the regions you've copied, Use your Insert Section at Playhead (Selection) key command.
  8. To be fair, I'm not entirely convinced that this passage you quoted from the manual is necessarilly 100% obvious to some of the lesser experienced users who may not have a crystal clear understanding of gain staging in digital recording, so your help is welcome nonetheless.
  9. You could filter all control changes under File > Project Settings > MIDI > Input Filter then select the Control Changes checkbox. Alternatively, under File > Project Settings > MIDI > General, deselect Control change message 7/10 sets Volume fader/Pan knob for channel strips.
  10. You can adjust the crossfades for take comping under Logic Pro > Settings > Audio> Editing.
