  1. Ok for me, the key is slicing mode, fill gaps deselected and placing the transient markers properly. If all else fails, do it old school, slice by hand and quantize the regions in the Event List. That's what I used to do back in the day. Takes a lot of time though, so better be patient. But there's zero distortion, and you have total control over each individual edit.
  2. No worries, you're welcome! Glad to hear it was that easy. 🙂
  3. Ok great, got it. So when you click the snare, do you see the snare remain bright while the rest of the kit is dimmed, as on the image in step 2 in the book? If you click it again a few times, does it end up sounding or not at all?
  4. Oh I understand now! Ok so then make sure you continue holding down Control + Shift while you release the mouse click, and only let go of the keys after you've released the mouse click?
  5. Do you mean locking the dragging to one direction? It should be just Shift while dragging.
  6. Are they using a US standard Apple keyboard? U.S. key command preset? Choose Logic Pro > Key Commands > Edit and check the following assignments?
  7. Just so it's there for you to tweak. It's kind of like a zeroed-out template. Also it may be pre-assigned to Smart Controls.
  8. I haven't watched the videos, but I'm talking about using Flex Time, slicing mode, fill gaps turned off. The Q depends on the drum groove, how far off it is, and how tight you want it. You could start with only the kick and see where you get.
  9. This time your Analyzer is turned off.
  10. You are looking at the wrong plug-in, see the name of your plug-in window at the very top (Small room....etc.). Close it and double-click the correct Channel EQ plug-in.
  11. Oh ok, well it should (it definitely does here). Does the EQ analyzer work as expected if you use it on a simple track with for example an ES2 synth?
