  1. Here's one: https://syntheway.com/Virtual_Harmonica_VST.htm Here's another: https://www.sonivoxmi.com/virtual-instruments/harmonica.html Basically you can google "harmonica software instrument audio unit" - audio unit being the format that is compatible with Logic Pro.
  2. The audio interface converts the analog signal from your source (microphone, guitar...) into a digital signal and sends the digital signal to your Mac. The Babyface is a really good quality interface, that was a great recommendation.
  3. To check what MIDI channel your keyboard transmits on: In the LCD display, click the small down arrow to the right and choose Custom, The channel number is the number directly to the right of the note symbol in the MIDI input monitor in Logic's LCD display when you play a note.
  4. Sample rate. Audio files played back at the wrong sample rate will play back at the wrong speed and pitch. The bit depth is a different animal. 🙂 Here's a good primer if you want to dig deeper: https://www.izotope.com/en/learn/digital-audio-basics-sample-rate-and-bit-depth.html As for the bit rate, it's a parameter when you bounce an mp3 file, that affects the size and quality of the audio file, but not the tempo or pitch.
  5. I would start experimenting with the british models. Here's a list of the models: Amp Designer models in Logic Pro for Mac Also make sure you: Use the bridge pickup, Roll the tone all the way down, Play with your fingers (not a pick).
  6. Some instruments have some kind of randomness built in, for example to trigger different samples in order to avoid the machine gun effect. If you can, share an example of a project that does that, and indicate the track and bar number, so one of us can have a look.
  7. I tested this here in Logic 10.8.1 and while the status of the R-enable button is indeed lost, the MIDI In Port and the MIDI In Channel parameters are retained. If you don't need to record the jam, then you could use the MIDI Environment to cable the Physical Input triangles corresponding to your controllers directly to their respective software instrument channel strips.
  8. Find the following line... case embellishments.indexOf("Snare Roll 1") : createRoll(34, 38, 6, 26, event.velocity, event.velocity / 1.3, 1); break; // roll 1 ...and change the 3rd value (here, a '6'), which represents the number of strokes in the roll.
  9. In that case you'd have to press Tab to select the search field, then esc twice.
  10. If the search field if selected, press esc twice. Otherwise, press Option + K twice.
  11. I have never experienced that. Was the project saved after you move the project end marker to bar 256? Is this an issue you can reproduce consistently?
  12. Make sure you Select the desired track, Select only the regions you want to copy, Press Command-C to copy them, Select all the regions on the track including all the regions to the right of the regions you've copied, Use your Insert Section at Playhead (Selection) key command.
