  1. I just remembered, it's actually the first option in settings. In the words of Rosanne Rosannadana, "Nevermind".
  2. How do you turn off core audio in Logic. I've done it before but now I can't remember how. Tanks man
  3. Dragging it to the desktop didn’t work. I know I can start with a fresh project and import everything but it’s very time consuming. This has been a recurring problem for me. Maybe there’s something in my system that’s causing it? Frustrating!
  4. Yes, it’s on an external drive. Dragging it to the desktop seems like a good idea. I’ll let you know.
  5. Is there a way to open a project backup if you can't open the project file because it crashes. For instance could I open a blank Logic project and then open a backup for a different project backup through it. Or could I just open a backup without opening the main project file? I know, kinda weird but possibly a big problem solver.
  6. I’m on a 2018 intel Mac mini so Rosetta isn’t a solution. Thanks anyway
  7. No, how do you do that? What does it accomplish?
  8. This is an older project but I was just working on it about 2 weeks ago and it was fine. I haven't done anything audio in the meantime. I have gone through Plugin Manager and deselected all the plugins that are being used in the project but it still won't open. What else can I look for, what else could cause it to crash? Tanks man
  9. I found this on the Apple support groups. I haven’t tried it yet but I’ll report back when I do. CantTutThis Hey all Logic was crashing on opening certain songs and eventually I found "CantTutThis" in the error log. After a lot of searching around I discovered this was an iLok problem, causing logic to crash. Here's how I fixed it. 1) pick a song that is crashing. 2) open it holding down "control" in order to disable AU 3) make a list of any iLok plugins you are using in that song 4) Close the faulty project and open a new project 5) one by one insert those iLok plugins in a blank audio channel - one of them will crash Logic - in my case it was Lexicon Hall, but it might be any iLok plugin 6) whichever one crashes login, uninstall, and then reinstall and you should be good to go. Lost a day sorting this out so hopefully can save someone else the hassle.
  10. I'm not quite understanding. I have 94 active licenses on iLok, are you saying to open each of them in an empty project? After I open one do I save it and start another empty project and open the next plugin or do I open all of them in the same project?
  11. I installed the iLok update, thank you, but the problem persists. Any idea what I might try next?
  12. I have a recent project that crashes every time I try to open it. The crash log says this, " I've searched through the plugin manager and don't find the "Can'tTutThis" plugin. All the plugins are successfully validated. I have recently installed the KIT BB N105 plugin , the Mammoth bass plugin and the Jam Origin Midi Guitar 2 plugin. All from reputable companies and bought and payed for. No other recent installations. Whatup wit dat?
  13. got it, thanks. I must have lost some samples at some point during a computer upgrade or something.
  14. Since they phased out ESX24, the new Sampler is having a hard time finding all my old user ESX24 samples. Where is the best location to store the samples and the sampler instruments and how do I show Sampler where everything is?
