  1. I recently purchased Elastik loops by Ueberschall. I seem to have installed the software properly, but I'm having a hard time making sense of it. The manual only has about 5 pages. There are tutorials available on their website, but they only confuse and infuriate me further. Is there anyone in this forum who has experience with using Ueberschall loops with Logic? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help, James
  2. I am having issues with the stringed instruments in Logic. When I play long, sustained notes, they sound beautiful. However, when I want to play a rapid succession of notes, there is a delay at the beginning of each note and it sounds weak and delayed. I tried adjusting the attack and decay times, but it didn't seem to help me at all. Also, I'm not sure if this topic has been addressed before. There are over 700 pages of topics and I'd like to know if there is any way I can do a search for a specific topic on this site. My apologies if this topic has been discussed a lot in the past. Thanks a lot, James
  3. You are a superstar! It worked like a charm. Thanks for your advice. - James
  4. Hello, I just came across the same problem. I am not able to use the custom install from the Logic 7 because I was using the Express version. When upgrading to Logic 8, I also upgraded to Pro. I just need to bite the bullet and reinstall Logic Pro 8, but I'm not sure how to go about this. I was hoping there would be an uninistall option in the installer dvd, but that choice isn't available. Do I just click on "Install" like it's the very first time? Thanks, James
  5. I've also attached a pic of where I would guess I would adjust the input, but my only choices for the devices are either Built-in Audio or Built-in Audio 2. Thanks again, James picture of my preferences
  6. I just bought an audio-technica USB microphone. To set it up, all I have to do is plug it in, click on "sound" in my system preferences, and choose it for input. I cannot figure out how to record vocals with this microphone with Logic! I can get it to work with GarageBand, so the microphone does work. It was the easiest thing in the world. But with Logic 8? Nothing. I feel like a fool and it's driving me insane. I have David's book. I've tried going into my preferences, and I just can't even see where I would choose the mic on the input. Please help. Thanks a million. - James
