Peace Sorry it has been a while for me to make a post on this, its a dead issue. There is no strip silence feature in Express. Channel strip maybe, or silence in the audio edit window...but no strip silence with a ratio controller to split files up like ReCycle does., ---> btw EMAGIC had this before propellorheads.

Peace David i have a accard ATA card wit those drives on them, i was interested in the idea of having my Intakt zero g stuff on a portable firewire drive, and i might still do this but do you think my ACARD 6280M is good enough for this?

Peace I need to ask you a few questions if you do not mind, since you seem to use these. 1-I decided to put my 7 Gigs of intakt instruments (east west-zero-g) on a dedicated drive to make space., and i wanted to ask you what name you used to link all thos .iso librarys since they all will ask if you change there locations? Just your suggestion or opinion from experience 2-what exactly are these zero g, east west plugs, i am so confused, why are they kompact or intakt and whats the deference bewteen there versions? 3-I am NOT sure what the deference of kompact or intakt is, i am thinking of buying kontakt and i am wondering if it can import all these sounds from the --zero g/ east west-- ".iso librarys", is that possible? Or should i buy Kompact? thanks

Peace all, Does anyone know if logic gets stressed out more by the ""esx24 or kontakt's"" sample disk streaming on one drive alone or several drives at the same time? I am guessing that having several drives may make play back more efficient for more instances, but before i go ahead and move things around on deferent drives i wanted to ask what the facts are since i am not that knowledgeable as some people here with logic's way of communicating with samplers. This is what i have: G4 450 Dual, 896 MB RAM, 4 7200rpm ata drives on a dedicated ata card and 3 firewire external drives. (as my singiture says) If anyone is doing this can they tell me how they organized the names of the drives, i was also trying to figure out what to name them since i will most likely upgrade them in the future and need to keep there names so my samplers do not ask me where they are located again and again. Peace No i have been told that you can not have logic pro 7 with logic 6 at the same time, however logic express with logic 6 is possible., as your aware. can someone verify if this is true though.

Peace, I got a friend, who uses logic 6, and recently did a session with a client who was a Express user, so they used his copy and key on the same machine. Now my friend wants to upgrade to Pro 7 but says everything is wacked and needs to know how he can install Pro 7 and use his prefs and plugs from 6 with out it freaking out as i said might really happen if he is not sure. Basically he wants to know what he has to remove as far as logic 6 and express, already he trashed express since the client took his xskey. but whats next? anyone?

Other forums have been helpful for me although they have a knack. -The Apple forum mods seem to refuse some posts that conflict with opinions with the mods rather then apple's policy if criticized for anything the fail to fulfill, or even if the post is about a problem they have no solution for yet, sometimes a apple mod or pro geek complains to the topic starter claiming it is them and not the product, sometimes i think the member is a aple employee. -That sonic forum is run by trolls, sometimes they do have some valid points but they mix there megalomania up with logic too much, this guys are stuck in a hole with there life depending on another Fascist regime to come and fix there real problems, though we all know where they will end up as usual. i myself had no problems but from time to time when i needed to see the results of other posts the threads went over the roof with arguments irrelevant to the post . So thanks for this forum, its clean and we can live with out a ego debate.

Peace My experience has been with the "artist drums" i guess its Ni's kontakt sample playback plugs we are talking about? What happens is that i choose a loop in "artist drums" and it all sounds great!, Except as soon as i play other tracks with it, then it sounds the "artist drums" loop has been over-compressed, no matter what i do i still can not get the "artist drums" tracks to sound the same as they do alone to mix them. Unless i do a work around of course like bounce a loop which defeats the purpose of real time grooving. Make note that i had no effects on any channels in logic so maybe its like some memory problem or poor performance compromising the sound quality, due to many factors, like i use a G4 450 DP, less then 1 gig ram. So maybe a second opinion to verify this would help both of us.

Well, i realized that Logic Pro has everything Xpress Does not anyway, which means most Xpress users find there answers here, but the strip silence feature has been removed from what i see. As far as Xpres goes Audio Window: Options > Sample rates is all that is there. May be safe to say that it was silently removed with out notice, this sort of thing is indeed something APPLE is getting popular at.

Woud it be necessary for a logic express help section? i had been asking about strip silence in logic express for a week now in the apple forums and nobody, i mean nobody knows! And on the sonic forums i never get anyone to answer the quesions i post there, usualy just some people sharing there derranged political opinions. turns out that Logic xpress does not have it so far under the little audio menu in the arrange page.
