  1. Also, some of the included Logic plugins used to be (excellent and expensive) "3rd party" plugins, Apple bought those companies and included that stuff in Logic. Alchemy was (and still is) state of art powerhouse synth.
  2. I agree, it would be great to have default key command to zoom all contents. Personally, I think the best implementation is in Studio One where you double click to open region in editor and it will open it in default zoom, but if you hold Alt (Option) and double click, it will open midi editor auto-zoomed to all content. Very handy and convenient, it would be excellent to see that in Logic
  3. It seems to be gone in 10.6. What did you use it for? I've never used it, not a single time, so I know that personally I won't miss it. Same here, I never used it, but I am hoping that this is a first sign of major overhaul they are working on proper built in browser/library that Logic desperately needs. What an irony, developed by manufacturer of OS that is running on, it could access all the bells and whistles of macOS if they want, but yet it still has the worst/clunkiest browser of all major daws. Hopefully there is an improvement coming soon (enough). For me personally, 10.6 is not worth the effort of changing from Mojave, but I am keeping eye on future updates, while using Studio One as a primary daw for now.
  4. Anybody knows if the new version have media browser in ? I still didn't update, but as per this video it's missing media browser:
  5. You need to record in latch/touch mode but before that you need to tick "Enable host automation" in Trillian for parameter that you want to record. (e.g. cutoff)
  6. Update: AHA! I tried it agin and this time it works. I had to go back in and try and assign "cmd+scroll" by actually holding "cmd" down in Steermouse while I clicked on the combined vertical settings. However, I had to turn down the sensitivity allllll the way because it messes with the fluidity of the scaling. Nonetheless, it works! Thanks fam! Good to hear that . Steermouse is incredibly powerful asset to speedup workflow of any software.
  7. You should be able to achieve this in Steermouse. I've re-assigned both Logic and Studio One to have cmd+scroll as a horizontal zoom and alt+scroll (and also ctrl+shift+scroll) to vertical zoom. You just need to press modifiers that you want to use in Steermouse and change it from there to what key command you want to replace.
  8. I agree, and also adding -> normal browser that is not slow and sluggish while trying to sync audio loops to project. Also, I hope for improved waveform graphics both in regions and browser.
  9. I can confirm this problematic behavior. The issue is that function has been designed for trackpad use, it's not really a hand tool like in Cubase. My solution was with program called SteerMouse where you can re-program mouse buttons and behavior and use internal "panning" from SteerMouse which acts like real hand tool. I've set it up on middle click so it behaves exactly like Cubase. I've also managed to reverse direction of scroll zooming on vertical and horizontal axis, because default Logic's behavior is odd and counter intuitive, opposite from all daws out there (again, it's designed for trackpad use).
  10. Also, I think S1 nailed this when it comes to automation drawing behavior (without even mentioning transform tool creative capabilities). It's so easy and convenient to draw automation points freely or with snapping, it's very reliable and it works smooth and easy (attached video has slow frame-rate). Apple should take notes from Presonus about this, especially possibilities with transform tool, I am surprised Apple still didn't do anything similar like it, Cubase already have similar behavior.
  11. Thank you for quick reply, David... I was afraid that you will mention disable snapping... I've tried that before, and while it helps somewhat, it takes my time and nerves differently - I have to be very careful with other, bottom node, in order to be perfectly aligned with grid (which is much easier with snapping function) otherwise I won't have straight ramp again because top node will cancel bottom one if I move it too much to the left, really annoying, I'm afraid. So far, the best solution is to draw range with marquee tool where whole automation part will happen and then move whole line up or down as shown in video, it's not perfect, but I was hoping there is solution for buggy snapping.
  12. Hello dear fellow LP users, After few years out of Logic land after using L9 and switched to other daw, I am trying to get back to LPX (10.4.x) but this particular problem is driving me crazy. I want to draw straight line ramp down, but I cannot succeed it no matter what. Sometimes it does work, but most of the times it's struggle. I other DAWs it's piece of cake as snapping is working properly (Cubase, Studio One, Live 10). No matter which snapping resolution I set it's the same, really unreliable. Can I do something about this or I need to use Marquee tool to create ramp every time ? Thanks
  13. Oooh, yes... Seems like I'm not the only one who is struggling with this :/ ... This behavior almost made Logic unusable for me. I switched to Studio One when Apple released Logic X and now when they dropped 10.4 I wanted to check it out again. I really want to like it and switch again as it has some fantastic stuff, but after excellent automation workflow experience in other DAWs I find this one in LPX very frustrating and sloooooow. You always need to be very careful and patient when working with automation (and not just automation) in LPX, I was used to it in V9 but now it just seems archaic and sluggish. Overall still feels slower and less responsive compared to other DAWs and that is shame and strange as Apple has all insights and tricks of OS and they develop Logic only for OSX. Other companies make DAWs for multiple platforms and yet they feel snappier and faster. Automation and old EXS24 (slow) workflows still keeps me out of LPX as main DAW but still keeping eye on it and hoping for upgrade in these areas.
  14. I agree it's very useful. Regarding that Logic shortcut, check on the attached picture, it's basically same function but inside Logic.
  15. Hmm...Interesting shortcut to apply system-wide, not just for LPX, but isn't that the same thing like "Cycle Through Windows" from "Window" menu in LPX? It gives me exactly same result as that command and I assigned "Cycle Through Windows" with Command + ` (characted below "Escape") ?
