    Error Messages

I don't think the MOTU 8pre is bus powered. If I'm wrong, I don't use it anyways because I use the AC adaptor it came with for power. I'm still not understanding how there could be a conflict the drivers though. I totally understand that Logic will switch to the built-in driver when I'm not using the 8pre; however, my Core Audio Device still has (MOTU 8pre) selected even though it was "switched" to the built-in driver. If I were to switch the Device to Built-In Input manually, would that solve my problem as far as getting the error messages?
  2. Hey everyone. I run Logic Pro 8.0.2 on a Macbook Pro with 2GB RAM, a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, OS 10.5.6, and I'm using a MOTU 8pre as my firewire audio interface. Forgive me of my ignorance but just recently I have been getting this error message: "Internal Job Conflict." followed by: "Logic has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers. Be sure to install the latest drivers for all audio and MIDI equipment connected to your computer, and remove any older or unused drivers." These error messages occurs every now and then. I have to shut down Logic and restart it for it to work again. It seems that the error messages have only occurred when I have been working with Logic without the use of any MIDI drivers or my MOTU audio interface. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I get this message: The previously selected audio interface is not available. The built-in audio inputs and outputs of the computer will be used instead for this session. Anybody having or had this problem? What's the deal? I'm really worried. The thing is, I have the latest audio driver update from MOTU (1.4.20). What can I do? All I have in my MIDI Drivers folder is EmagicUSBMIDIDriver.plugin and Motu MIDI Driver.plugin. I thought about deleting the Emagic driver but I wasn't sure if it was vital or not. I don't believe I'm using it. Just MOTU. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hey there Logic users! Are there any drumstick "click" audio samples in Logic 8? The Hyper Editor, Create GM Drum Set, suggests there sound be a drumstick sample mapped to G0. I've look through all the kits in the EXS24 but I haven't found any. I doubt there's any in Ultrabeat. Where can I find good quality free samples of drumstick clicks or drums samples in general?
  4. With the release of Pro Tool 8, Apple has got to be answering back soon with something new in Logic Pro. I'm sensing a Logic Pro 8 update is nigh...
  5. Yeah. I figured that out when I tried moving just about every slider in the sampler. It just didn't work. Thanks for the great sounding samples doug941. That's just what I needed. You rock!
  6. Hey there fellow Logic Pro users. I record drums using Logic's sequencer. I'm wondering if there are samples of cymbal chokes in Logic Pro 8? I've look through the EXS24 but I didn't find anything. Perhaps I over looked it. If not, is it possible to get cymbal chokes by using a standard crash cymbal sample and tweaking the release slider in EXS24? I don't know.
