If I use my own preset, it just doesn't work. If I use ie the US standard preset it works like it should. If I change the US standard to something else it becomes buggy again. I also use a bigger keyboard from Logitech so that maybe a problem too. Anyway I found a workaround so I just settle for this. Thanks for the help Henrik It's weird but not a big deal.

I thought about that just now actually. The reason why I don't use default keys is because I have used Logic for so long that many of the commands have changed places since I started out. I have never really found the time (or need) to change to change my workflow. The save zoom stuff didn't have a default back then so this is my own from maybe 1998 Also I use key commands A LOT and find it useful only to have commands for the functions I use all the time. That gives me the option of not having to use that many commands that involves more than 1 or 2 keys. Thanks for the help and BTW, you seem to know Logic well. Do you know if it's on purpose that the step editor doesn't deselect the previous event when you switch line. It didn't work like that back when I used it a lot for drum programming. I cannot see what the idea is. It drives me crazy having to click an extra time in the empty space. Hi again Here's what I do, and how it should work according to the manual: I have set two key commands "save as zoom 1" is page up + arrow, "recall zoom 1" is page up. I work with screensets which has my overview zoom, I basically just do any zoom, press page up + arrow (and already at this point the save changes the zoom strangely), go back to the saved screenset, press page up....and nothing happens. Since I started the thread I have found out that if I set zoom with key commands instead of the sliders it works like it should. My best guess is that this is actually a regular bug but luckily there's a workaround....actually there nearly always is All the best Henrik

Hi there Has anybody else noticed that the save as/recall zoom function behaves very badly these days. I haven't really noticed because I have a fairly ancient autoload where it works fine but today I tried to set it up on a newer iMac and it didn't really work. I use the page up/down keys for recall and page up/ down + arrow for save. I went home and checked on my own computer and it's the same, it doesn't work...or doesn't work very well. Hi there I am trying to figure out how to get the most out of my Sonnox Dynamic EQ. I bought it a couple of years ago but never got around to implement it in my workflow. I pretty much get it all except the external side chain. The manual says "You'll need to set up the side chain signal in your DAW". The DAW is obviously Logic but I don't know how to do this. Normally there would be some way to choose the side chain source inside the plugin but I simply can't find it. Could somebody make a simple guide how to make ie a lead vocal lower a certain frequency band of a guitar. I just want to understand how this is supposed to be set up. All the best Henrik

Hi again Thank you very much. It worked but what a strange bug I had already figured out that there is no problem on files created in 10.6.3 but I hadn't thought about importing screensets. I had to redo all the screensets in my autoload though but since they are they same on almost everything I have ever done I can use this new autoload for fixing everything I need. Hi everyone I have updated to Big Sur and everything works fine except Event Float. It is only 3/4 visible (vertically), I have had this issue before (years ago) but I can't remember how I fixed it. Does anybody have a suggestion about what to do. All the best Henrik

Hi and thanks for the reply I simply can't figure out how to contact them, they are hiding behind a massive wall (to me anyway)but I will look into it again. BTW I heard from Sonalksis, they are not sure if they will make an update. That is quite bad news for me and backwards compatibility but I kind of suspected that some would jump the ship with Big Sur. It's not a done deal yet but it is very much my point of posting this thread, it may not be a matter of staying on Catalina for a while but maybe more a matter of never upgrading again...or abandoning some brands.

Hi everybody I am trying to figure out which plugins that does not supports Big Sur. It's quite a few but most of them states on their website that they soon will. I cannot find anything about TC VSS3 though. Does anybody know.... Also, I have used Sonalksis for ages and they don't support it at the moment either but I worry if they plan to. They haven't updated anything for years which has not been a problem because the plugins work very well but what about now. I am not in a hurry to update but Big Sur is a dealbreaker for some 3rdware companies and I don't want to include their plugins on future projects if they don't plan to be part of the future. I simply don't get it. I can easily find the Keyboard Shortcuts in System Pref but what after that. How do ie make Logic open by pressing F13.... All the best Henrik

Hi there I am currently using a Logitech keyboard which runs on a rather brilliant little program that lets me route any key to pretty much whatever I want. However Logitech has decided to discontinue this from Big Sur and on. My question is, is there a way to do the same thing with the Apple keyboard. I don't mean inside an app but ie by pressing F13 and Logic opens, pressing F14 and a I am taken directly to a specific folder etc. All the best Henrik

Hi there After booting my Mac today (running 10.15.5) a message popped up telling me that I have something from Universal installed that won't run on a future version of MacOs. I assume that the future MacOs is Big Sur and I wonder if we are looking into a hardware problem or "just" a software problem. Being a longterm user of UAD I remember when UAD1 quite suddenly got obsolete so I fear the worst.... Does anybody know what that message is about, Big Sur is right around the corner. PS I realise that I can just skip updating to Big Sur which is fine if it's just a matter of waiting for a software update but it's a problem if it's not.... All the best Henrik
